Hello dear list members,

With all four FB planets in malefic houses of the Virgo rising chart for the UK, including transit 1st lord Mercury in infancy in the 6th house under aspect from natal 6th lord Saturn in the 12th house, transit 4th lord Jupiter conjunct transit 12th lord Sun in the 6th house, while transit 2nd lord Venus in late Aquarius /H6 has been under aspect from transit Rahu in Sagittarius, it is little surprise that things have not been going particularily well there these days. The political outcome in the forthcoming elections has become so uncertain that the Pound dropped sharply today on mounting fears the next government will be too weak to apply sufficient measures to stabilise the public debt situation, which has become terribly bad following the rescue of the UK banking system.

With 11th lord Moon entering Virgo/H1 today, 2nd lord Venus to enter Pisces/H7 tomorrow and transit Sun to separate from 4th lord Jupiter in the 6th house, some improvement is expected in coming days/weeks.

The pound has tumbled to a 10-month low as fears grow the UK will have a hung parliament in the forthcoming election. The currency fell 1.6% to drop below the $1.50 level against the dollar for the first time since May. It has lost 7% against the dollar this year.

The pound also fell against the euro and most other major currencies.

Pound Drops Sharply as Risks Abound

March 1, 2010, 6:13 AM ET

Economic and monetary-policy risks are weighing on the pound Monday, pushing the currency to its lowest level against the dollar in nine months and even shoving it down to its lowest level for the year against the euro.

The outlook on the currency is now looking weak, with data released late last week already suggesting that some traders’ negative bets on the pound against the dollar have surged to an all-time record.

Uncertainty surrounds the Bank of England’s monetary policy meeting Thursday, while opinion polls over the weekend showed a shrinking lead for the Conservative Party ahead of the general election, which must be held by June.

“It continues to be all negative for the pound at the moment,†said Audrey Childe-Freeman, an analyst at US bank Brown Brothers Harriman in London. “Dreadful economics, an uncertain monetary policy environment and highly uncertain politics will all leave sterling vulnerable in the near term,†she added.

Pound Drops Against Dollar as Tories Lead Against Brown NarrowsMarch 01, 2010, 3:24 AM EST

March 1 (Bloomberg) -- The pound fell against the euro and weakened to an almost 10-month low against the dollar as polls showed that the U.K. may have its first minority government since 1974, hampering efforts to cut the nation’s record deficit.

Hello Peter,

Interesting question. I´ll try to get you started to find the answer.

#1. It is clear that the currency indications of the SAMVA USA chart (Perpetual Union) are stronger than those seen in the UK chart. This indicates the dollar has done relatively better over time than the Pound.

#2. You may study the exchange rate of these currencies over a long time. The relationship will likely be consistent with what #1 suggests. You can then form a view on this question.

Feel free to share your findings with the list.

Hello Peter,

Thanks for sharing the very interesting graph. Indeed, the historical evidence is consistent with what these two authentic mundane horoscopes suggest.

There seem to be major shifts in the relative value which are consistent with the time line seen in another graph, the rise and fall of the British Empire, which was presented in the following article:

The horoscope of the United Kingdom (January 24, 2009)
