We have been discussing moving the exact rising degree of the chart. In this regard, we can recall that there was an absence of a significant event when transit 12th lord Jupiter was stationary in the fall of 2009 near 23° Capricorn. Transit Jupiter was at 24° 32' in mid September 2009, at 23° 15' in mid October and at 24° 50' in mid November 2009. Presently, Mercury - Rahu period is operating. Natally, the affliction of 4th lord Mars in the 11th house by Rahu in the 3rd house along with natal Sun in the MEP of the 10th house aspecting the 4th house, would explain the many destructive earthquakes. Transit Saturn is in the 9th house. Do you concur, given these placements, that the destructive earthquake event is one indication the rising degree may be earlier than 23° Capricorn on the day of founding? Certainly, a major earthquake at this time becomes more consistent with the chart with slightly earlier rising degree. My thinking was simply that a) the affliction to natal 4th lord Mars and b) the affliction of the Sun to the 4th house (requiring the Sun to be in the MEP of the 10th house) offered a credible explanation for such natal potential of rather frequent major earthquakes. Indeed, we will follow the chart further for careful rectification of the rising degree.
