Om Krishna Guru

Dear Guru's &

Jyotisha's

I would like to enquire about the below Jyotirlinga's Mantra. Why is

that for Kuja, Sukra and Buda the mantra is not chosen from their

exalted rasi? From what I learn in the list there are 12 jyotirlinga

for each 12 rasi

and the mantra for Surya,Guru,Chandra,Shani,Rahu and Ketu is chosen

from their exalted rasi but not for the abovementioned 3 graha's.

Suppose if someone use the

logic to worship the 5th lord of the Dasamsa (say it's Sukra) , then

the exalted sign of this graha is Meena rasi which is Mallikarjuna but why the

mantra use Om

NamasSivaaya NamasTryambakeswaraaya in which Triambakeshwara

is

the jyotirlinga associated with Makara rasi which is the exaltation of

Kuja? Should the person use the mantra associated with Meena or Makara

rasi?

Thanks in advance.

However, there are minor mistakes with the use of visarga sandhi. When

a sound comes after visarga (h sound as in namah), what happens to it

depends on what is before visarga and what is after it. Namah does not

necessarily become namo always. If you learn Sanskrit language, you

can learn the systematic rules of visarga sandhi (sandhi=joining of

two words into one word due to continuous pronunciation). I am

correcting the mantras for your reference.

Shivaaya Namah!

Dear Mofie,

The Jyotirlinga form is associated with the Sign, not the Planet. If

your 5th house in Dasamsa is say Taurus, then the Jyotirligs is

SomaNatha or if it is Libra then the Jyotirlinga form will be that of

Kaaleshwara. Tryambakeshwara form is associated with Pices (Meena), as

Venus exalts in that sign

Mantra for Jyotirlings is related to the Planet that get's exalted

in that sign. for eg Moon exalts in Taurus, hence Sommanatha is the

jyotirlinga; Saturn exalts in Libra, hence Kaaleshwara; Sun in Aries

hence Rameshwara for Aries etc....

Hope this helps.

Best Regards,

-Suresh.

Dear Sureshbabu,

Any thoughts, why the Mantra is associated with the 5th house and the

not the planet ruling it?

Best Wishes

Shivaaya Namah!

Dear Sarajit,

Here is my thinking...please correct the same...

5th house also shows oppurtunities (especially in D10), in addition

to abilities, power, authority etc... and 5th lord overlords the same

and so he is the bringer of fresh oppurtunities, A new job for

example. But the 5th House indicates the oppurtunity itself.

Jyotirlinga is connected to Lord Shiva, who is the pratyadhiDevatha

of Sun, and the Sun in the 12 signs of Zodiac as Dwadasa Adithya is

*the* Giver of everything. Everything, that which is Prakruthi or that

which manifests in this world is given by Dwadasa Adithya. Hence

praying to the JyothirLinga form (Shiva), will endow the native with

best of Fruits... " Shiva dhe Kalyanam " , they say.

Please correct my understanding.

Best Regards,

-Suresh
