Dear Sarajit Ji,

Let me attempt to answer to your question, which Sanjay Ji

mentioned before, and if I remember correctly, the following

is the reason:-

The fifth house respresents one's Authority and Power and the

Natural lord of the 5th house (Leo) is the Sun.

By worshipping the Sun or Shiva we are able to get over the

negative effects of the Saturn who represents mainly Loss of

Job,Poverty,Old Age, Retirement etc.,

Dear Rao,

You have correctly got it. Sun is not only the natural lord, but also

the karaka of the 5th for power and authority.

However the question I asked is why take the 5th house and not the 5th

lord for finding the Jyotirlingam, that to be worshipped for career

related matters?

Any take on this?

Best Wishes

Sarajit

Jaya Jagannath

Dear List

In matters of worship it is very imporatant to bear in mind that the signs describe only the environment or the place of the deity while the lord ( i.e a planet ) shows someone who is animate and therefore has life. We pray a deity after infusing life into a deity ( called Prana-Pratishtha ). Hence a lord or deity is symbolised only by a planet and not a sign. Hope this clarifies the issue.

Best wishes

Shivaaya Namah!

Dear ShivPujan ji,

Namaste.

Yes. Thanks for clarifying. It's the Lord's form that need to be

prayed to, not the house. Sarajit also indicated the same thing.

For those of us that didn't know, here is what Sarajit said... " It

is the 5th lord. Jyotirlingam worship cause exaltation of the planet

associated with it. We are more interested in the 5th lord than the

planet in the 5th or who would get exalted in the 5th as it is in the

best interest of the 5th lord to protect its houses and none else.

This is true also with the karaka, who shall protect. The karaka is

Sun, for career success et. al. and hence Jyoti (light) + Lingam

(Shiva) and the form is decided by the lord of 5th. "

Best Regards,

-Suresh.

dear shiva,

say the 5H is Libra. so 5H point to Jyotirlinga `Kaleswara'. But 5L Ve points to Jyotirlinga `Trayambakesrara'. now..who is to be worshipped?

as i know- sign should rule, but as per you should it be seen from the lord of the sign instead?

regards

II HREEM MAHISHAMARDINI HREEM SWAHA II

Dear Dasgupta da & Narasimha ji,

Namaste,

I am also confused with so much of inputs coming in about this subject. Now, I am working on a chart of a person, who is facing some difficulty in career. In his D-10, the fifth house is Taurus. Which mantra is appropriate for him?

Om NamasSivaaya NamasTryambakeswaraaya ( When 5th Lord Venus ,in D-10 is taken into consideration )

OR

Om NamasSivaaya NamasSomanaathaaya ( When the 5th house Taurus, in D-10 is taken into consideration ).

Warm regards

Dilip Banerjee.

say the 5H is Libra. so 5H point to Jyotirlinga `Kaleswara'. But 5L Ve points to Jyotirlinga `Trayambakesrara'. now..who is to be worshipped?

as i know- sign should rule, but as per you should it be seen from the lord of the sign instead?

Jaya Jagannath

Dear List

In matters of worship it is very imporatant to bear in mind that the signs describe only the environment or the place of the deity while the lord ( i.e a planet ) shows someone who is animate and therefore has life. We pray a deity after infusing life into a deity ( called Prana-Pratishtha ). Hence a lord or deity is symbolised only by a planet and not a sign. Hope this clarifies the issue.

Best wishes

Dear Dr. Dilip Ji,

Namaste,

May I answer this with my a little knoweldge, and request

Guru's to correct me if I am wrong.

Jyotirlinga Mantra chanting/reciting for career related

issues are should be taken from 5th Lord from D-10.

If I take this principle, then as per your example, the

native should consdier chanting 5th Lord Venus, which is

represented by Tryambakeswara and the corresponding Mantra

is " Om NamasSivaaya NamasTryambakeswaraaya " .

Dear Sai,

Namaste,

Jyotirlinga Mantra chanting/reciting for career related

issues, we should be Consider mantra of 5th Lord from D-10.

As Dr. Dilip had mentioned earlier, let the Guru's confirm

this, I am also waiting for their reply to clarify my

understanding too.

Namasthe Rao Ji,

Is it the Mantra for the 5th Lord ?

or

Mantra for the sign of exaltation of 5th Lord?

ind that the signs describe only the environment or the place of the deity while the lord ( i.e a planet ) shows someone who is animate and therefore has life. We pray a deity after infusing life into a deity ( called Prana-Pratishtha ). Hence a lord or deity is symbolised only by a planet and not a sign. Namasthe Rao Ji,

This is what Sarajit ji opined on this " As Narasimha Pointed out, the 5th lord in the Dasamsa is very crucial in the careers of the native and show opportunities in the job life of a native. Worshipping the Jyotirlingam which shall cause the exaltation of the 5th lord is good for the career of the native."
