Dear Gurus and learned members,

Can someone please tell me what the best way to see the profession of the spouse from a native's chart.

My thoughts are that the navamsha would be the varga of choice, but am uncertain whether the 10th house from the 7th house or the 10th house from the Upapada would yield the best answer.

Thanks in advance for your guidance.

Best Wishes,

Karen

Dear Karen,

Take the 7th house in navamsa as lagna and look at the 2nd, 6th and 10th houses from it. If you take the 7th house in navamsa as lagna and find Narayana dasa from it, you can time events in spouse's life (in cluding career).

May Jupiter's light shine on us,

Narasimha

Dear Narasimha Ji,

Namaste,

Thanks for the reply to Karen's question on Profession of

one's spouse.

I am apply that principles and request you to please let

me know whether the following approahc is correct way to

follow your suggession:-

1) Take the Native's Navamsa.

2) Take the 7th House from Navamsa, eg, that is Aq

3) Take the D-9 Varga Narayana Dasa

4) Change the Start Dasa From to : Aq

5) Now use this D-9 Varga Narayana Dasa Variation using

Navamsa Chart to time the Spouse's events including the

career, in other words use this as if this is a native's

chart and proceed for the analysis.

6) Or I should use the above D-9 Narayana Dasa ariation

using Rasi Chart ?

Thanks for your help in advance.

Namaste,

Nope, I am not busy with the workshops. The next workshop I teach is

a long way - on Nov 2.

Let us take an example.

June 1, 1972

Time: 4:16:00

Time Zone: 5:30:00 (East of GMT)

Place: 81 E 12' 00 " , 16 N 15' 00 "

Cast the navamsa of the lady. You'll see Sc rising in navamsa. So Ta

in navamsa shows husband. Take Narayana dasa in navamsa from Taurus.

You'll get

Narayana Dasa of D-9 chart (a versatile phalita rasi dasa):

Maha Dasas:

Ta: 1972-06-01 (4:16:01) - 1980-06-01 (5:34:48)

Ge: 1980-06-01 (5:34:48) - 1990-06-01 (18:57:59)

Cn: 1990-06-01 (18:57:59) - 1997-06-01 (14:08:04)

Le: 1997-06-01 (14:08:04) - 1999-06-02 (2:19:29)

Vi: 1999-06-02 (2:19:29) - 2004-06-01 (9:08:08)

What do you expect in Vi dasa? The first one-third gives the results

of the house. Virgo being the 5th house with argala on GL gives

power. The native's husband received a promotion at work and became

an officer from a clerk. The second one-third gives the results of

lord. Mercury is placed in the 12th house of displacement. During

that one-third, the husband was posted at far away places for officer

training and lived away from family and home. In the last one-third,

you get the results of the houses and planets aspecting Vi. You get

the results of Moon, Sun and Mars (in that order).

This is how you compute and judge Narayana dasa to judge the fortune

of spouse. Sc contains GL and its lord Mars aspects 5th from 11th.

One of my predictions to the lady is that her husband would rise very

well in career during 2007-2016 (Sc dasa). Of course, the native's

husband too runs a very favorable Dasamsa Padanaathaamsa dasa during

2007-2017 and that makes it easy to predict.

May Jupiter's light shine on us,

Narasimha

Hare Rama Krishna,

Dear Narasimha Ji,

Namaste,

Thanks for the wonderful eample and it is clear to me now

on how to apply the Narayana dasa to find the native's spouse

professional/career deatails.

Now, I am attempting here with my a little knoweldge on how

to find the actual profession of this native's husbnad.

Please correct me if I am wrong in my approch.

1) Spouce's Lagna is Ta ( 7th from the Native's Navamsa Lagna

which is Sc)

2) 10th from Ta is Aq and Rahu is placed in it.

3) Also Ta has a rasi drishti from Me and (Ju)

4) Which indicates that this person may be connected

in some technical/computer and teaching/consulting related

profession.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Dear Narasimha,

I guess it should be 5th from 7th, i.e., 11th. Isn't it.

Dear Sarajit,

Namaste.

Oh, I see that the word " from " can be confusing. In everything I

wrote, I was taking the 7th (Ta) as the reference and completely

forgot about lagna. I meant that the GL lord Mars is stationed in

the 11th house of gains and 5th house (from 7th of course) was being

aspected by him from there. I did not use from to count houses, but

to show where he was aspecting from.

To Rao Nemani: You guessed the career well, though I did not mean

this to be a puzzle. But that's the right attitude and your approach

is essentially correct.

However, your guess is not entirely accurate. The gentleman works in

an Indian bank. He was a clerk and now he is under training to be an

officer. He was selected for training under the first one third of

Virgo dasa (5th house results). I expect him to be posted as an

officer at the end of the last one third of Virgo dasa, when Mars

gives the results of his aspect on Virgo (being the GL lord)!

Rahu and Saturn can certainly show routine jobs like bank jobs. Note

that Mercury and Jupiter both aspect Rahu. Moreover, the other 10th

lord, Saturn, is in Taurus and that can show banks.

Interestingly, the husband's rasi chart has Saturn and Rahu in the

10th house in Jupiter's sign and Mercury is the only planet

aspecting 10th. In this navamsa, Saturn and Rahu own 10th and

Jupiter & Mercury aspect it (from the 7th house). Similarly, this

navamsa has Jupiter in 3rd in Moon's sign (from 7th of course).

Husband's rasi chart has Jupiter and Moon together in 3rd. And so on.

When there is a strong karmic link between husband and wife, it is

not at all rare to see such correlations between one's navamsa and

other's rasi!

In fact, based on such correlations, my father once caught an

affair. Based on the chart, my father suspected that one of his

frequent clients had a serious extramarital affair. His wife is a

nice lady. My father was concerned about the affair, but he kept

quiet because he did not have proof. One day, the lady - a doctor -

with whom he had an affair visited my father for consultation. When

my father saw her rasi and navamsa charts, the puzzle was solved.

Though she said she was unmarried, my father told her she must have

had a long affair. She finally agreed. My father correlated this

chart with the gentleman's chart and concluded that the two were

linked. Then he confronted the gentleman and made sure that the

affair was ended in the right way for everyone involved.

This role played by my father may seem unethical and improper to

some, but my father is an old man with strictly Indian values. He

never took a fee for his consultations from anyone and only took

voluntary donations that were given happily. He always followed what

he saw as his dharma as an astrologer and guru without any other

considerations.

Of course, my father is an extremely intuitive astrologer who never

misuses his vaak (speech) for harsh or abusive speech and spends a

couple of hours in spiritual sadhana everyday. Hence he has a very

strong vaagbala. In our case, it will be overambitious to guess

relations based just on the charts!

May Jupiter's light shine on us,

Narasimha
