If such presumption is unfounded, I'd like to know the logical interpretation to the contrary. I've never heard of yogas of Su-Sa, Sa-Ma, Ve-Ju, Me-Mo, Me-Ju, Ma-Me and the like. However, in this group, I have heard people like Sanjay, Visti and Gauranga mention yogas involving Me-Mo, Ve-Ju (dwiguru?), Ju-Me and Sa-Mo. All implausible-looking combinations, but mentioned by folks much more learned. I'll really be damned if any Sa-Mo yoga exists(why then sade sathi at all?)! Why not we start a discussion on this? And no flaming, thank you very much. I wish the learned ones spare a few minutes on this. Guest guest Posted November 9, 2003 Report Share Posted November 9, 2003 Dear Ramapriya et All, I thought about your question and refered to the BhinaAshtakvarga of Varahamihira each planet to see if a planet gave a bindu to the positions your had refered. I am assuming you are talking ONLY of conjunction. This is what I found. I give 2 scenarious for distrubtion of bindus i.e. if there is one then its a favourable yog else its not. 1) Su-Sa and Sa-Su : If Su-Sa conjunction is there then its a favourable yog for Sun (Suns BAV). Now for Sa-Su also there is a favourable yog. So for conjunction of Shani and Sun both help each other by distributing a bindu. 2) Sa-Ma and Ma-Sa For conjunction of Mars and Shani, Shani gets a bindu if its in the same house as Mars. However its not true for the reverse. i.e Shani does not help Mars or does not give Mars a favourable bindu if both conjoin. 3) Ve-Ju and Ju-Ve Here both do not help each other in their respective BAV. 4) Mo-Me and Me-Mo When Me and Moon are together Moon helps Merc by giving it a favourable bindu however Mercury does not help Moon. 5) Me-Ju and Ju-Me Here Jupiter helps Mercury by giving it a fav bindu if conjoined however Mercury does not help Guru. 6) Ma-Me and Me-Ma Mars does not help Mercury when they conjoin however Mercury does help Mars making a favourable yog. 7) Sa-Mo and Mo-Sa Here both do not help each other just like Ve-Ju. Sade Sati Similarly if one distributes all points we can know how many bindus is Shani giving to 12th, 1st and 2nd house from moon. Keeping that in mind we can then see if Shani is transitting 12th house from moon but if say shani were to give 5 bindus out of the 39 it has then one would get very good results. Since there are only 39 bindus shani has to so the probability of 3 contigious houses getting > 4 bindus might not be very high. My 0.01 cents.... Cheers !!! However if in Kendra¡Çs it can confer Raja Yoga. In your list you haven¡Çt considered Yoga¡Çs caused due to lordship¡Ä You forgot I presume? Take the example for Virgo Lagna, where Sun and Saturn join. That would cause VRY. See when two inimical planets join, they can indeed cause a high level of Raja Yoga, but question is how? It usually means one gets the Raja Yoga through a very unpleasant situation – i.e. through fighting/enmity and the likes. Hence the Grahas that join will show the method through which their Yoga will come. Could be a friendly way or a distressing way. That¡Çs why some people gain power after revolutions, scams, deceit, etc. So your right¡Ä they cannot give beneficial Yoga¡Çs, but they can cause Raja Yoga¡Çs. Best wishes, Visti.
