Guest guest
|| Jaya Jagannath || Dear Jyotisha, I am attaching an excel file for calculation of planetary positions and the divisional charts. This is a advance calculator, which can make composite divisional charts. The function for finding the composite division is “divplanetlongitude()”. The parameters to be supplied for this function is Degree of a planet in the Rasi Chart, the division chart no. and the variation in the divisional chart. The Divisional chart no. and their variations are listed below: N(1, 1) = " Rasi " N(2, 1) = " Hora (1/7 House) " N(2, 2) = " Parashara Hora " N(2, 3) = " Parivrittidvaya Hora " N(2, 4) = " Jagannath Hora " N(2, 5) = " Kashinath Hora " N(3, 1) = " Parashara Drekkana " N(3, 2) = " Jagannath Drekkana " N(3, 3) = " Parivrittitraya Drekkana " N(3, 4) = " Somnath Drekkana " N(4, 1) = " Parashara Chaturthamsa " N(4, 2) = " Cyclical Chaturthamsa " N(5, 1) = " Cyclical Panchamsa " N(6, 1) = " Shasthamsa " N(7, 1) = " Saptamsa " N(8, 1) = " Ashtamsa " N(9, 1) = " Navamsa " N(10, 1) = " Dasamsa " N(11, 1) = " Rudramsa " N(12, 1) = " Dwadasamsa " N(16, 1) = " Shodasamsa " N(20, 1) = " Vimsamsa " N(24, 1) = " Siddhamsa " N(27, 1) = " Nakshatramsa " N(30, 1) = " Standard Trimsamsa " N(30, 2) = " Parivritti Trimsa Trimsamsa " N(30, 3) = " Trimsamsa (Like Shastyamsa) " N(40, 1) = " Khavedamsa " N(45, 1) = " Akshavedamsa " N(60, 1) = " Shastyamsa " There are 4 sheets. The details of the 4 sheets are provided below: Sheet1: “Basic”- Here one needs to put the date of birth, time of birth, the longitude and latitude. The longitude and latitude need to be converted in decimals. For converting this divide the mintutes by 60 and seconds by 3600 and add it to the degrees. The system shall calculate the Planetary longitudes for the planets and some upagrahas (Other bodies are in the process of being programmed). Sheet2: “Division”- Here one can create any composite divisional chart. Lets take Navamsa Dwadasamsa. For creating this you need to put the Parameters for Navamsa, namely (9,1) in to the cells B2 and C2 and Dwadasamsa in the cells D2 and E2. Somebody well versed in Excel can create composite charts to any level such as Navamsa-Navamsa-Dwadasamsa. Sheet3: “Two Big Charts”: While analysing any native’s horoscope we generally analyse a particular divisional chart in conjunction with the Rasi Chart. This sheet shows Big view of two divisional charts. By default, I have put Rasi and Navamsa Chart. You can chose your own divisional chatrs, you need to just put the parameters on the cells marked yellow on the top of the divisional charts. The Kashinath Hora chart is programmed. Use the parameters 2, 5 for Division and Var respectively to get the chart. Sheet4: “All Divisional Charts”: This displays all the divisional charts which has been programmed so far. You can see most of the variations of different divisional charts. Please let me know if you want something else to be included. Other consideration: To make the excelsheet working, please place the .dll file included in the zip file I am sending, in the /windows/systems directory You can use the degrees of the planets in the divisional charts, judiciously. Even though no shastras have spoken anything on this so far. I “personally” think that they can be used in various ways such as finding the exact planetary conjunctions, aspects etc. This is open to research. Look in Sheet “Division” for the degrees of planets in the divisional charts. You find the placement of any body in the zodiac in the divisional charts. What you need to do is just put the longitude of the planet in the the sheet “Division” in the column F. There are numerous functions available in the sheet, which can be used in research, but yet to be documented. I will send an update whenever I do that. This excel file is in public domain. Anyone can enhance it, however, please let me know incase you are making any modifications or enhancement. Currently the excel file doesnot show retrogression etc. which shall be programmed and released later. Please let me know your feedback. Guest guest
|| Jaya Jagannath || Dear Anna, I am all there for Jyotish, however, in my current project my responsibility has increased manifold. That is why I am uable to give much time for Jyotish. This software opens up multitude of functionality and scope of Jyotish. Something like I always thought of working with multiple composite charts and divisional degrees, however, couldnot do it because of unavaibility of any such software. While I was pondering on what to do, I thought of a nice idea… I taught myself Visual Basic for excel and started working. In a weeks time, this is what I achieved. In the next version, I will prepare some documentation of all the functionalities and shall incorporate the feedback from the list members. The way this program differs from others is that it can easily be enhanced without hassle as there is no trouble in code modification, which happens with all the available software. So the moment, I learn of newer things, I can incorporate it straightaway. It will take some time before I can make use of the functionalities available and write more on this. Guest guest
Dear Sarajit, I understand your position very well- honestly, I was surprised to see you donated such a serious Jyotish tool, that will certainly live longer than we do!And you thought yourself, WOW!- you see you can do whatever if you put your heart and brains into.that. Sure, I have tried it! However I have a problem with numerous vargas, that I yet need to learn about, to be able to enjoy fully the potential offered -I have never ever seen so many varga charts accessible so easily! This is a advance calculator, which can make composite divisional charts. The function for finding the composite division is “divplanetlongitude()”. The parameters to be supplied for this function is Degree of a planet in the Rasi Chart, the division chart no. and the variation in the divisional chart. The Divisional chart no. and their variations are listed below: N(1, 1) = "Rasi" N(2, 1) = "Hora (1/7 House)" N(2, 2) = "Parashara Hora" N(2, 3) = "Parivrittidvaya Hora" N(2, 4) = "Jagannath Hora" N(2, 5) = "Kashinath Hora" N(3, 1) = "Parashara Drekkana" N(3, 2) = "Jagannath Drekkana" N(3, 3) = "Parivrittitraya Drekkana" N(3, 4) = "Somnath Drekkana" N(4, 1) = "Parashara Chaturthamsa" N(4, 2) = "Cyclical Chaturthamsa" N(5, 1) = "Cyclical Panchamsa" N(6, 1) = "Shasthamsa" N(7, 1) = "Saptamsa" N(8, 1) = "Ashtamsa" N(9, 1) = "Navamsa" N(10, 1) = "Dasamsa" N(11, 1) = "Rudramsa" N(12, 1) = "Dwadasamsa" N(16, 1) = "Shodasamsa" N(20, 1) = "Vimsamsa" N(24, 1) = "Siddhamsa" N(27, 1) = "Nakshatramsa" N(30, 1) = "Standard Trimsamsa" N(30, 2) = "Parivritti Trimsa Trimsamsa" N(30, 3) = "Trimsamsa (Like Shastyamsa)" N(40, 1) = "Khavedamsa" N(45, 1) = "Akshavedamsa" N(60, 1) = "Shastyamsa" There are 4 sheets. The details of the 4 sheets are provided below: 1. Sheet1: “Basic”- Here one needs to put the date of birth, time of birth, the longitude and latitude. The longitude and latitude need to be converted in decimals. For converting this divide the mintutes by 60 and seconds by 3600 and add it to the degrees. The system shall calculate the Planetary longitudes for the planets and some upagrahas (Other bodies are in the process of being programmed). 2. 3. 4. Sheet4: “All Divisional Charts”: This displays all the divisional charts which has been programmed so far. You can see most of the variations of different divisional charts. Please let me know if you want something else to be included. Other consideration: 1. To make the excelsheet working, please place the .dll file included in the zip file I am sending, in the /windows/systems directory 2. You can use the degrees of the planets in the divisional charts, judiciously. Even though no shastras have spoken anything on this so far. I “personally” think that they can be used in various ways such as finding the exact planetary conjunctions, aspects etc. This is open to research. Look in Sheet “Division” for the degrees of planets in the divisional charts. 3. You find the placement of any body in the zodiac in the divisional charts. What you need to do is just put the longitude of the planet in the the sheet “Division” in the column F. 4. There are numerous functions available in the sheet, which can be used in research, but yet to be documented. I will send an update whenever I do that. 5. This excel file is in public domain. Anyone can enhance it, however, please let me know incase you are making any modifications or enhancement. 6. Currently the excel file doesnot show retrogression etc. which shall be programmed and released later. Please let me know your feedback. Guest guest
Dear Anna, Thanks for all those wishes and confidence on me. I gave this tool for someone who would like to researches on the composite divisional charts and program pretty easily any divisional charts (which probably are yet to be released). Jyotish is a neverending field of learning and many divisional charts I personally do not know how to use. However, I am always open to newer possibilities such as nakshatra placement in divisional charts (Isn’t it crazy). Lets see how it works out.
