Dear Nitin,

Yes, it surprised me too, which was the reason I brought it up.

I simply don't understand how one can place such a generalized stuff on the

net as it does more harm than good...

Well, I guess thats the price of " freedom " on the net ...

Kind regards

" freedom " on the net!!!! What dirt are you trying to talk on me Jay. Just

joking:)

Hare Rama Krsna

Just noting that in Chandrakalanadi the 12th house to the karakamsa is

called jivanmuktamsa. Jiva is soul, mukta is liberation, amsa is division.

It is the division that indicates how /where the soul will get moksa. We are

taken to moksa by the Ishta.

Also the 9th house from karakamsa is called viGYanamsa. viGYana is higher

wisdom. So it is the amsa of higher wisdon/learning which we are guided to

by Dharma devata.

|Hare Rama Krishna|

Dear List, Namaste.

I was asked to take some time out to answer this question.

I can say that i have recieved all your emails (to my private

account - visti) regarding the Puri Confernce and

the various places of visit. All those who have requested to see the

Copper plate reader or visit Konark have been written on a list.

The site presents dates, based on the gregorian calendar, without

the consideration of the specific year one was born.

This points to the fact that this calendars system is not based on

neither the Weekday (vaara) nor the Lunar day (tithi). We may hence

infer that it has nothing todo with the Vedic-system of reckoning

time. This reminds me of some of those astrologers who claim todo

Jyotish based on the gregorian date of birth..

Whilst i do not know the basis of the start of the Gregorian

calendar, i will not comment on its authenticity, but it is surely

not part of the Vedic System of Jyotish and should be rejected.

Now the term; Ishta Devata is highly misused depending on the school

of thought. Actually the propper terminology for the 12th from

Karakamsa is; Jeevanmuktaamsa (refer chandra kaala nadi) - which

means; " that division which will liberate the being/native " .

Even the word; Devata is somewhat restricting for the 12th from

Karakamsa, and the propper term should be " Ishta " or " Jeevanmukta-

amsa " .

The Ishta is a term used for that form of God which has caused your

birth and will liberate it. As we've allready been created, the next

step is identifying the deity which will " take us out of this

abode " . This is seen from the 12th house.

1. The 12th from Lagna showing the one liberating us from our birth

place and body (lagna).

2. The 12th from Moon showing the one liberating our mind from its

constant perceptions and thoughts.

3. The 12th from Atmakaraka, showing the one liberating our soul

from its constant rebirth.

The Weekday lord is part of the Pancha-anga, and the Pancha-Tattva.

Those who are learnt in the Sankhya Shastra, will know that the

Tattva's are the base elements of our creations, arising out of

Vasudev's union with Neela Shakti.

It is pertinent to ask whether that deity which will cause our

liberation is limited by the 5 elements, or is beyond the same.

Otherwise we may accept that this created universe is all there is,

and nothing is beyond it. Depending on your idea's regarding the

same, you may hence accept or reject this.

Those interested in worshipping their day lord should do so for good

health.

Hope this helps

Jaya Jagannath

p.s. Good mail Nitin. Kanupriya and Jay - Use your current logic to

accept or reject something.. this site seems to be someones

invention.

Best wishes, Visti.
