Guest guest
Namaste Prashant, I will write my thoughts on this matter, after making it clear that all my knowledge of D-27 is self-developed and not from the parampara. What Sarat wrote is correct - trines and quadrants are both important in navamsa. The same holds true in D-27. But Freedom also has a good point. Each house is important in each chart. Trines in general are houses of Lakshmi and they show blessings or things that come easily or things that are already there. Just as Stree Sakti symbolized by Lakshmi represents " nature " , these houses stand for what is " natural " , i.e. already there. Quadrants in general are houses of Vishnu and they show the focus of one's efforts. These are not necessarily things that are tough to get, but these simply are the areas where one's efforts are directed at. Navamsa is the chart of dharma. Sun and Jupiter are the planets controlling navamsa. Thus, trines are important. They show the blessings, i.e. abilities. The abilities are a key in deciding one's dharma (duty). One with great abilities has great duties (or one with great duties is blessed with great abilities). The lesson here is that dharma (duty) varies from person to person! This is not to say that only 3 houses are important in navamsa. No way. All the houses have their own meanings. Especially, Vishnu is the symbol of dharma and quadrants are Vishnusthanas. So certainly quadrants are important as Sarat wrote. In fact, planets in the cusps of all houses in rasi chart end up in the four quadrants of navamsa! That itself shows the importance of quadrants in navamsa. In fact, the cusps of the three dharma trikonas, three artha trikonas, three kaama trikonas and three moksha trikonas go into the 1st, 10th, 7th and 4th houses in navamsa respectively, i.e. to the respective bases!! The quadrants in navamsa show the activities and efforts related to dharma. They show *how* one *upholds* one's dharma. The trines show *what* one's dharma is and what one's physical abilities are. Sanjay ji has Jupiter and Mercury in 4th and 10th. He upholds his dharma by teaching traditional knowledge (Jupiter) and by writing scholarly books (Mercury). One may say that trines are more important and one may say that quadrants are. I'll say both are different and important in their own right! Same thing holds in D-27. It is the chart of sub-conscious drive inside one. The trines show the abilities, blessings and what is already there, at the sub-conscious level. The quadrants show the focus of the efforts of the sub-conscious self. For example, take a cricketer who has an excellent intuition and always expects what the bowler is going to do and plays glorious shots even on good line & length balls. Some batsmen are good at punishing loose balls, but some are so intuitive that they score off excellent balls. Such instincts are seen from D-27 trines. These sub-conscious instincts just come as blessings by nature. OTOH, quadrants in D-27 show the focus of one's sub-conscious mind. They throw light on one's inclinations, frustrations etc. They are a key to understanding one's psychology. Thus, Freedom is justified in saying that Moon is more important in D-27 (just like Sun and Jupiter in navamsa) and hence quadrants are more important. However, it is equally correct to say that quadrants and trines have their own meanings and each is important. It depends on what your priorities are and what you want to see. Depending on that, either quadrants or trines are important. This is true in both D-9 and D-27. I hope my views are satisfactory to Sanjay ji and others. Please feel free to criticize my views. However, also be ready to be criticized back. :-) May Jupiter's light shine on us, Narasimha > sadgurudevaaye namah > > dear narsimha ji, > > thanx for explaining ur point of view, it was really enlightening! > i support ur point that d-27 is to do with 3rd lvel of harmonics, hence to do with sub-consious. > > however, as far as quadrants r concerned, i want to raise some questions, > either i've not understood, or is there some discrepency? becuase in navmsa chapter, varga chakra book, sarat ji has explained abt use of quadrants & trines. jaimini rishi had also given importance to trines to navamsa lagna & karkaamsha for analysing abilities in a person. > i m not saying quadrants r not important or these do not indicate what is achieved easily.. > but would u deny this statement that trines should b seen for skills or qualities? > > why there are two kind of thoughts ? > i dont 've ur ur chart examples data, & its not good to comment abt guru's qualities. here i wud quote my own example. > venus is in trines to d-27 lagna, but neither in trines to my d-9 or d-3 lagna. however, it is in quadrants to d-9 as well as d-3 lagna (parivrittiya ). > why m i not a good artist ? frankly speaking, i always wanted to b ..., i've the instinct, but unfortunately, not the skills... > > plz clarify , > > regards > prashant
