Dear Hari,

Is it not said that " yatpinde tat bramhande " ? This indicates the

relation between Living beings and the Planets, and forms the basis of

Jyotish. Regarding earth see what the Lord did in Varaha avatar. It

would explain, perhaps why Lagna is equated to Vishnu.

Dear Hari,

The shloka is the basis of astrology. Pinda means living being and

Bramhanda is the celestial system. The meaning is that whatever is in

Bramhanda is reflected in the living beings. The meaning of the shloka

is, what ever is in bramhanda is also replicated in a living being. This

is the basis one which the Pancha Tatwas, Planets and Rasi divisions are

equated to living beings and by extension alloted to the Chart of a

living being in Vedic Astrology. You will find application of Prithvi

tatwas too.

Chandrashekhar.

::Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya::Dear Hari

The story of the Sri Varaha avatar (read Rahu) shows the intricate link between the node and manifestation of each of us in this planet. The rebirth is indicated by Rahu and it is due to this planet that the entire bhu loka and all its physical manifestation and linear time scale comes into our being as soon as we are conceived in the womb of our mothers. The water in which the world drowns refers sybolically to the water in the garbha where the foetus recides. The delivery of the world from water is the delivery of the child from this womb or world of water.

You will notice that the undeivered baby has a different perspective of the world from inside the womb and conceives of it totally in water..extremely brilliant thinking..thats Vyasa.Best Regards,Sanjay RathSJC-Puri: 212 Gopal Ballav Road, Puri -752001, India----------------------------OM TAT SAT---------------------------

Pranaam Sanjay,

That is truly brilliant!!

What is your analogy for the demon Hiranyaksha?

May Jupiter's light shine on us,

Pranaams Sanjay,

Somehow I had been thinking all along that you would answer this

question in a different way and today, my faith has been repaid a

thousand times over.

Truly profound; thanks for pointing me to the specific source. One

question: would the story of Varaha avatar show the relationship

between Earth and the other planets (Rahu has been explained

already)?

Thanks for your clarification on the mantra. Can you give a hint on

how to derive mantras for planets in maranakarakasthana?

regards

Hari
