I am in total agreement with Nandan and Pearl Finn. I made my debut

posting on Sri Jagannath group few days back but it hasn't shown up

yet so I thought of posting it here. This is the posting from Sri

Jagannath's group.

SJC administration needs to facilitate the donation process by

providing easy and convenient methods for accepting donations.

Pearl said it rightly that if we all donate even small amounts, it

will make a diffeernce as a whole. We shouldn't feel shy or

shouldn't discard the notion of providing our support thinking that

our support is small or what difference will it make?

Let me share a story of a small boy and an old man. An old man who

was walking along the beach early in the morning. As the tide is

going out and sun is coming up, it gets lighter and lighter and the

old man spies a figure running along the beach, appearing to be

dancing. When he finally gets close enough he sees that it's a young

boy, picking up star fish that he finds lying in the sand...throwing

them back into the ocean. " What on earth are you doing? " , says the

old man to the boy.

The boy stops and says, " The tide is going out and soon the sun will

be high in the sky. These star fish will be stranded here in the hot

sun and if they're not put back in the water, they'll die. "

The old man looked at the boy and looked at the beach. " You have an

impossible task ahead of you. The beach stretches on and on for

miles. There are hundreds of starfish. What possible difference can

you make? "

The boy stooped down, picked up a star fish and flung it out into the

water. Then he turned and looked at the old man and said, " It made a

difference to that one. "

You've probably heard that story before...but... That's what it's all

about...making a difference. Your help and support will definitely

make a difference to the SJC's vision.

I am probably a future student of Astrology but I like reading the

astrological discussions. I appreciate the members, group, SJVC and

all who contribute and share their knowledge with others.

May God bless all.

Best Regards

Jiten

Dear Jitendra,

I think SJC has a paypal account and Narayan Iyer knws more about this as Treasurer SJC USA. I think SJC US/India need to coordinate this to make it more convenient.

Narayan,

Can SJC USA receive the funds and transfer it to SJC India or have some mechanism for handling the donation for building fund?

With best regards,

Sanjay Rath
