Guest guest
Dear Karu WHile the messages that you have given have elucidated the concept of Guramsa etc, there is no mention of the meaning of the word " SWAMSA " , well we do understand ketvamsa, guramsa etc. What does swamsa mean, because jaimini has said saturn in fifth from " swamsa " making one an archer., best wishes partha varahamihira , " Karu " <heen@n...> wrote: > HARE RAMA KRISHNA > > Dear Shailesh,Partha and Ramadasji, > When ever we speack " AMSA Lagna, it can indicate not only Navamsa or Karakamsa, but any Amsa. Karaka for both houses (5,9) is Jupiter, who owns DHANU ! (While Saturn is the karaka for 10 th house) So, you may have to see the placement of Jupiter too. The secret is hidden within the sloka and it was only SJC opened the secret to us. > > Long time back, I had same question and please read below for more details. IN FACT THERE IS A SOOKSHMA PARIVARTANA BETWEEN THE MOON AND GURU AS GURU IS IN THE NAVAMSA OF THE SIGN OCCUPIED BY THE MOON AND THE MOON IS IN A NAVAMSA OF THE SIGN OCCUPIED BY GURU. THIS IS THE MISTAKE KN RAO MADE IN THE INTERPRETATION OF THE WORD KARAKAMSA WHERE HE FEELS THAT THIS IS THE RASI SIGN OCCUPIED BY THE AK IN THE NAVAMSA. LAGNAMSA IS THE NAVAMSA OF LAGNA AND KARAKAMSA IS THE NAVAMSA OF ATMAKARAKA. IN FACT THE EXACT TERM SHOULD BE ATMAKARAKAMSA TO DIFFERENTIATE IT FROM THE OTHER KARAKA. VERY OFTEN YOU FIND THE WORD " AMSA " BEING USED AND ONE HAS TO BE VERY CAREFUL AS THIS IS GENERALLY NAVAMSA, BUT COULD BE DIFFERENT IN A SPECIFIC CONTEXT. THEN WHAT WILL BE THE LAGNA SIGN IN THE 9D ? > > RATH: THAT IS WHERE I TRIED TO INTRODUCE A NEW TERM CALLED AMSA- LAGNA TO DIFFERENTIATE IT FROM LAGNAMSA. HOWEVER, TECHNICALLY, LAGNAMSA SIMPLY MEANS LAGNA + AMSA AND THIS CAN MEAN BOTH NAVAMSA LAGNA I.E. SCORPIO AS WELL AS THE NAVAMSA SIGN PISCES WHICH HAPPENS TO BE THE LAGNA IN THE RASI CHART. USAGE IS VITAL AND THAT IS WHY I TRIED TO COIN A NEW TERM FOR THIS PURPOSE ELSE WHEN WE STUDY BRIGHU EVERYTHING WILL GO HAYWARE. > > YOUR KETH-AMSA IS 2ND OF THE 9D.( SAG) > RATH: KETHVAMSA MEANS THE NAVAMSA OF KETU. HOWEVER IF THE SLOKA SAYS SUN TRANSITS KETVAMSA, THEN THE REFERENCE IS TO THE TRANSIT OF THE SUN IN THE NAVAMSA OF THE RASI SIGN OCCUPIED BY KETU. HERE KETU IS IN SAGITTARIUS AND NAVAMSA CHART IS NOT USED. IN GOCHAR THE SUN WILL TRANSIT SAY ARIES 29 DEG. THEN THE SUN WILL BE, IN TRANSIT IN ARIES RASI SAGITTARIUS NAVAMSA. THEN IT IS SAID TO TRANSIT KETVAMSA.THIS IS THE WAY BRIGHU HAS USED THE TERMS AND SO HAS JAIMINI. > THUS, KETVAMSA CAN REFER TO > 1. THE NAVAMSA SIGN OCCUPIED BY KETU > 2. FOR EXAMPLE, MY HOROSCOPE LAGNA IS PISCES AND NAVAMSA LAGNA IS SCORPIO. THEN THE SIGN SCORPIO IN THE RASI CHART IS LAGNAMSAKA. THIS IS USED IN LAGNAMSAKA DASA...LET THIS BE (NO QUESTIONS ON THIS DASA PLEASE). > NOW SEE THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN KN RAO & ME: FOR HIM THE " KARAKAMSAKA " IS KARAKAMSA, WHICH IS WRONG. > Best Wishes > Sanjay Rath > > > > > > YOUR GURAMSA IS 5TH OF THE 9D (PISC) > YOUR SURYAMSA IS 9TH OF THE 9D (CAN) > YOUR (LAGNAMSA) IS 5TH FROM 9D (PISC) ??? > > You say, > *LAGNAMSA IS THE NAVAMSA OF LAGNA* > AND > *KARAKAMSA IS THE NAVAMSA OF ATMAKARAKA.* > > If Karakamsa is the navamsa of AK, it is still Virgo isn't ? > > Could you write in this regard, a detail letter ? Guest guest
sadgurudevaaye namah dear partha, i can understand. may i share a couple of examples with u which again u already know? may b it can remind or indiacte some clues? jus says, mer in 5th from swamsa indicates an ascetic. now, i've half dozen charts who have this combination, none of them is an ascetic. rather couple of them r athiests. then , what does it mean? all of them accepted that they have left some habit, or refrained from something, in urdu it is called "tauba". one of them has become a vegetarian, another doesnt use plastics. someone left tea & coffee. this is irrespective of their spiritual tendencies. dr. satya prakash chaudhary had himself written a mail to this group abt singing combination he had according to jaimini sutras, but he always doubted jaimini sutras, as it never happened till last year. when he actually came up with his own audio cassettes. though i dont know abt broader meanings of saturn in 5th ifrom swamsa, but it will definitely manifest in ur life. & then u'll realise. dont give up, otherwise what will we do? if gurus give up, who will show the path to shishyas? humble regards prashant Mail - More reliable, more storage, less spam
Guest guest
Dear Prashant As shaileshji pointed out, it was not the question of myself, or rishiraj manglesh. It was about the understanding of sutras. you are right regarding the concern for studying Jaimini sutras in a more holistic way rather than giving it up. Archer could also mean, a person who has a fixed aim(lakshya), who is probably good with hands etc. But this particular sutra was talking about profession, and not exactly abilities. So extrapolating to abilities, may be there could be some explanation. I was always fond of archery, infact the first story that i heard in my childhoo was Ramayana, and the first Comic book i read was that of Ramayana again, and i was fascinated by bow and arrow. I used to play bow and arrow, but never ever hurt my neighbourhood. The victim was my brother, who used to be the poor Ravana. But i can explain all my childhood fascinations using a simple fact, that i am a Dhanus lagna person, and lagnadhipati is in mesha rasi, krittika nakshatra. So i did get thoughts of becoming a military wala, but unfortunately i have eye problems, which you might be aware of, which deterred me from going " there " and helped me coming " here " , Sanjayji says that Mars is karaka for jyotish, and i am still hanging around, hoping that it is true. best wishes partha varahamihira , prashant narang <prashantnarang> wrote: > > sadgurudevaaye namah > > > > dear partha, > > i can understand. may i share a couple of examples with u which again u already know? may b it can remind or indiacte some clues? > > jus says, mer in 5th from swamsa indicates an ascetic. now, i've half dozen charts who have this combination, none of them is an ascetic. rather couple of them r athiests. then , what does it mean? > > all of them accepted that they have left some habit, or refrained from something, in urdu it is called " tauba " . one of them has become a vegetarian, another doesnt use plastics. someone left tea & coffee. this is irrespective of their spiritual tendencies. > > dr. satya prakash chaudhary had himself written a mail to this group abt singing combination he had according to jaimini sutras, but he always doubted jaimini sutras, as it never happened till last year. when he actually came up with his own audio cassettes. > > though i dont know abt broader meanings of saturn in 5th ifrom swamsa, but it will definitely manifest in ur life. & then u'll realise. > > dont give up, otherwise what will we do? if gurus give up, who will show the path to shishyas? > > > > humble regards > > prashant > > > Mail - More reliable, more storage, less spam
Guest guest
Jaya Jagannatha Dear Prashant, though i dont know abt broader meanings of saturn in 5th ifrom swamsa, but it will definitely manifest in ur life. & then u'll realise. I have Saturn in 5th from Navamsa lagna/lagnamsa. Rahu is also co-lord and they are both in 5th with Jupiter and they are 4th from Karakamsa. While I do not do archery (Saturn), I have my own pistol (Rossi- .38 calibre; Rahu’s conjunction) for protection (Jupiter’s conjunction), whose dispositor is Mercury in the 6th from lagnamsa. The saving grace is, it is in trines from AK Moon (karakamsa). I have never believed in ever owning a gun until I got held up (shot at with a sub machine gun) for the 2nd time and survived this incident. (Chanting of Nrsimha mantra almost 2 year prior to that incident jammed the gun). This was during my AK Moon and Antardasa of Rahu. love, Swee swee www.brihaspati.net prashant narang [prashantnarang] 19 March 2004 03:24 varahamihira Re: |Sri Varaha| Saturn in fifth-dear Karu sadgurudevaaye namah dear partha, i can understand. may i share a couple of examples with u which again u already know? may b it can remind or indiacte some clues? jus says, mer in 5th from swamsa indicates an ascetic. now, i've half dozen charts who have this combination, none of them is an ascetic. rather couple of them r athiests. then , what does it mean? all of them accepted that they have left some habit, or refrained from something, in urdu it is called " tauba " . one of them has become a vegetarian, another doesnt use plastics. someone left tea & coffee. this is irrespective of their spiritual tendencies. dr. satya prakash chaudhary had himself written a mail to this group abt singing combination he had according to jaimini sutras, but he always doubted jaimini sutras, as it never happened till last year. when he actually came up with his own audio cassettes. though i dont know abt broader meanings of saturn in 5th ifrom swamsa, but it will definitely manifest in ur life. & then u'll realise. dont give up, otherwise what will we do? if gurus give up, who will show the path to shishyas? humble regards prashant Mail - More reliable, more storage, less spam |Om Tat Sat| http://www.varahamihira
