Colors/Rasis - usage and why diff between IAVA and SRs color table

Dear PVRji, Ramadasji, Partha, Raghu, Chandrashekharji and learned members,

 

It would be nice if you may kindly answer this post, it might be very trivial for your stature but pls help, this is my second post in this regard, but there has been no reply on the list.

I have found differences in colors assigned to Rasis given in ur book IAVA and by SR during the Nagpur conf. I fail to understand how there can be difference in teachings of you both. I have tried to do word check in BPHS but couldnt find any reference.

 

Findings

 

Rasis Colors PVR SR ( from memory)

 

1. Ar Blood red Red

2. Ta White White

3. Ge Grass Green Parrot Green

4. Cn Pale Red Pink

5. Le White Off White

6. Vr Variegated Grey

7. Li Black Black

8. Sc Reddish Brown Light yellow/brown

9. Sg Husk of grass Golden yellow ( alternative view of other gurus

it is brown also)

10. Cp Variegated Blue

11. Aq Brown color Variegated

(mongoose kind)

12. Pi Cream/color of fish Crystal White

 

a) Kindly reconfirm the correct colors.

 

b) The discussion of colors came into picture when I was discussing use of colors in healing and using it on personal charts to enhance certain features of life. Some old astrologers I have met use very odd combinations in giving remedies for colors.

 

c) Any advice on how to use colors in daily wear to enhance quality of life. We wear clothes atleast 23 hrs, how can we effectively use it to heal life in different situations of life. color has been known to have healing properties, how can a Sadesathi afflicted person use color individualising it on his chart, how can a person who wants to marry use the colors, how can a person who wants a job, more prosperity in career use colors - color of 10th lord of Rasi or D10 depending on strength of it or is there some other technique.

 

d) I thought planets can have colors but we cannot see Rasis in the sky (atleast I am unable to, no pun intended here), so how can rasis have colors, is there some logic behind the rasis's having colors assigned to them or is this part of the astronomy portion of astrology where the nakshtras can be seen having colors.

 

Am confused pls guide. I have been doing some research on colors and usage of it in daily life based on some tips in our meeting with SR and Visti, but have failed to progress due to the discrepancies in colors according to diff rasis.

 

I know for everyone the queries above are very basic queries but pls reply in depth and would be obliged. If examples of even personal charts are given then beginners would understand more.

At last I came around to doing this -

Your questions answered...

a) Different authrs have given different views and also you will find learning different in different regions of India. You need to apply yourself a bit more in this matter. Pale Red and Pink are not too far off from each other and should give you the idea of the color indicated as being that for Sri Tara. Leo is off white based on Parasara and white is different from the milk white of Taurus. Infact taurus should be milk white. You were there when we checked the dictionary for the color of Virgo. Do you still have a doubt? Perhaps it will be there as there are different authorities and they can have differing views. Scorpio is the color of Bagalamukhi. As the mother of Mars and the earth mother this can be the brown of mud (light color) or the light yellow color as well.

What is the color of the husk? Is it golden brown?? If so then all are right. See the color for yourself and know it. But also know that the shades are also in the sign. What will you use this knowledge for is what you should be thinking...or is that question coming!!

Capricorn is blue if you take abhijit naksatra into account else it can have various shades and mixed colors. Aquarius is said to be brown by most authorities but then this is the home of Rahu as well. Can we ignore him and only choose the color indicated by one lord - the color of earth/mud that Saturn which brings us to this planet and makes our bodies of that mud. (also explains the natural badhak sign).

Piscs is the color of water as a sign and that of the fish for beings..what is the color of fish? Have you seen the goldfish in an Aquarium? After visiting the huge Aquarium (whats it called?) in Singapore I gave up trying to fix the color of a fish. So stick to the color of water and to my knowledge this is 'crystal clear water'.

 

b) Old is gold - and gold is yellow. that is some experience with wisdom i think.

 

c) Try this - check out your UPAPADA and wear the shoes based on the color of the sign. see what results you get and get back to us after a fortnight at least.

 

d) As indicated above, Rasi's don't have colors in the skies. The colors are in planet earth and are the predominant color of the places or things indicated by them. Thank God you did not find much of a difference between parrot green and grass green and then between Brazilian parrots and Indian parrots. Sometimes some of my students can really drive me up...but you are intelligent and nice questions really.

 

e) Research on Rasi colors!! sunil and how did you do the research? Did you take the signs themselves or did you look for artices or people. I have nt seen *varigated colored* people or have I?? I think the first step is to list what the standard texts say on thisin a tabular form. Then to have another list of the articles, places, people etc indcated by them. Then to determine the deities indcated by them and the dress coor of these deities like yellow for Vishnu/Krishna etc..then only will you find something emaningful. In any case try the Upapada color thing and get back to me.
