Guest guest
Om Gurave Namah Dear Freedom, While thinking of Mahabharata war and Bhagavadgita, this interesting coincidence just struck me. i think several people have commented on the connection of number " 9 " to the above two. This number recurs a number of times and this in vedic astrology this number is assigned to Mars, the war lord!! And it is so meaningful. Mars lords 1st, 8th and is exalted in 10th house, indicating birth, death (or moksha as co-lord is Ketu)and action - infact all concerns demarkating and deciding earthly existence or liberation therefrom. I think the basic thrust of Bhagavadgita was also in the same direction and on the same topics!! Beautiful synergy indeed!! I just couldn't resist sharing this. Was not Kurukshetra a rudrabhoomi and was not Krishna at that moment, ruthlessly encouraging mayhem of 18 akshouhinis of army, a Rudra Himself? Did Arjuna's saatwik pleas cause Him to change His mind? No, at that moment He was the implacable Supreme Godhead, The Eternal Equilibrium in action, intent upon only restoring Dharma and resetting the balance. Bhagavadgita was the nectar which flowed out of that great balance. And, had not the Lord referred to Kurukshetra as Dharma kshetra himself? Guest guest
... hamsasso.aham .. Dear Lakshmi and Freedom, One last mail from me, and I’ll pipe down. Lakshmi: And beyond that vessel, Freedom, what happens then? Beyond the gross, gunas have no relevance. [Ajit:] Precisely. In the final evaluation, the gunas (prakriti—source of creation) and everything that come out of it (creation—which includes tattwas) have no relevance. I still maintain my original objection. Asking us to balance tattwas is like asking a sadhaka to balance his intake of intoxicants. Lakshmi: Have I talked anything beyond the known principles, so far? Whatever I said so far was totally based on scriptures. I think I had given enough internal evidence. [Ajit:] You may still want to consider reading some introductory books which expound this subject matter with clarity. Try tattwa-bodha, atma-bodha, and panchadashi. [Ajit:] I finished replying to the rest of your comments, but just decided to delete them. I’ve already made my points. Rest assured that they have the sanction of my parampara. .. aatmaana aakaasha: saMbhuutaH .. – taittiriiya upanishad Thank you for the discussion. ajit
Guest guest
Om Gurave Namah Namaste Ajit, [Ajit:] You may still want to consider reading some introductory books which expound this subject matter with clarity. Try tattwa- bodha, atma-bodha, and panchadashi. Lakshmi: Thanks for your suggestion, Ajit. I'll definitely try to read them as soon as possible. [Ajit:] I finished replying to the rest of your comments, but just decided to delete them. I've already made my points. Rest assured that they have the sanction of my parampara. .. Lakshmi: I am sorry that you deleted your other comments. The loss is mine. I would have liked to see them very much and i am sure that you realise that this discussion is only an academic one and all of us have learnt something in the process. [Ajit]: aatmaana aakaasha: saMbhuutaH .. - taittiriiya upanishad Lakshmi: I said the same thing. I request you to go through my very first mail on the topic, wherein i mentioned that in a balanced being, all panchatattwas being balanced, agni & vayu, prithvi & apah neatralise each other and the reamaining tattwa is aakasha / ether, which i said is SOUL and pure bliss. Thank you for your inputs. Regards, Lakshmi
