Dear gurus,

There's this blanket pronouncement I've often heard astrologers make - that all parivartanas are necessarily good. I request the learned ones to opine on how true they've actually found this, since I find this dictum nigh on impossible to endorse logically.

Warm regards,

Ramapriya

Only fleetingly, Partha.

Iirc, duryoga results when quadrant or trinal lords get placed in

dusthanas. Dainya I think is when there is an association between a

quad or trinal lord with a dusthanadhipathi.

Correct?

Dear Ramapriya,

In parivartana, planets give results as if in own house and in that

sense they are good. A horoscope having even one planet in won house is

above average. What the results would be is a different story. The

intrinsic nature of the planet, its natural beneficence/malfeasance and

house placement would dictate the results that ensu for the relevant houses.

Dear Ramapriya

Good, but not fully correct. Just do some more research.

best wishes

Om Subrahmanyaya Namah

Dear Ramapriyaji and Parthaji,

The results of a planet or a combination varies from horo to horo

which depends on many matters but that should not prevent us from

making general statements !

Duryoga Yoga results when 10th L is in a dustana, but we can cover

all angle and trinal Lords, here also the overall nature of the

horoscope is to be seen. Dainya Yoga, I think, results when 11th L is

posited in a dustana. But here also everything depends on the natural

strength of the horoscope. Ramapriyaji's definition of angle and

trinal lords' `association' with dustana lords doesn't appeal to me,

since all planets except Moo and Sun have two lordships, one

lordships can be good, which in turn `can' result in a Raja Yoga or

the like. The luminaries also have exception for dustana lordships!

What do you say?

Parivartana Yoga in general is very good. In most cases it can give

results par excellence. However, as always here also there are

exceptions. I dont think the parivartana between 2nd L with 6th L

(like wise 11th and 12th etc) can be good, even if there are other

combinations, this will trouble for long! I think this is what

Ramapriyaji pointed out in the first mail. Earlier I read an analysis

on a reputed astrologer's horoscope, he had parivartana between 2nd L

Me and 5th L Ju, naturally a fortunate combination for knowledge and

vaksidhi. I've with me a horo in which the 6th L Sanidev(Leo Asc) and

10th L Ve in parivartana, the person has a smooth career and has got

out of the way promotions, he doesn't face any problems in career or

with rivals or anything of that kind. But then he's running a

favourable Ju Dasa now, he may face problems in his Sani Dasa.

Best Regards,

Saaji

Hi Partha,

A Teoma search reveals that dainya yoga occurs when a

dusthanadhipathi has parivartana with a quadrant lord, and that a

duryoga is when the 10L is placed in a dusthana.

Thanks for really making me look around; didn't I tell you I gave

away all my astro books to the deserving some time ago? :^)

Cheers,

Ramapriya
