Guest guest
Hari Om Namo Viswarupaya ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hello, I am reading Muhurta Chintamani by Grish. C Sharma. He discusses auspicious and inauspicious Muhurtas, and mentions Guru in Simha ( Magha Nakshatra through the first quarter of Poorvaphalguni) as a defective period that needs to be rejected for certain actions e.g. Marriage, creating small wells, start or stop of vrata, first lessons from Guru, etc. Now, he clearly points out of Juiter's inauspiciousness in Capricorn where Guru is debilited, yet I do not underatnd why Guru would be blemished in Simha (Leo). Any insights? Pranams, Frank in San Diego
Guest guest
Om Subrahmanyaya Namah Dear Frank, It's seen that the 5th house indications are at stake. As you said no specific reason is available. One Scholar from the (Indian) state of Maharashtra did a statistical study of marriages(for the factors you mentioned it seems only this can be studied for it's effect) held during these periods and a Magazine published his article, in which he states that out of the 100 cases he collected, 90 had no problems. Rest were astrologically explainable. He gives the reason that, since Jupiter rules progeny and Sun is brilliant with His rays and as all planets coming in a particular degree from him is devoid of strength, marriage during his transit in Leo, which is ruled by Sun could lead to deficiency in progeny. Another reason he gives is, since Leo is the 5th sign of the zodiac, and as Jupiter is also the 12th Lord(owning Pisces), his transit over 5th ruling progeny, may be detrimental for it. But the author himself differs here, Jupiter is also the Lord of 9th(owning Sagittarius, a trine) hence his transit to be viewd more from this point. Hence the reasons stated not convincing? In the last point, we can give a better point, since Jupiter is the karaka for progeny(and for other points also?), as per `karako bhava nasaya', his transit in the house of Leo, 5th house of zodic can be bad? Anyway, Jupiter stays in a sign for one year, hence, considering his study, even if there are other reasons, they can be safely ignored. Guest guest
|| Om Gurave Namah || || Om SarvaSaukya Pradaaya Namah || Dear Frank, I think he says to avoid all the matters which would be avoided when Jupiter is combust, when Jupiter is in Leo. So My deduction is that Leo Rashi kind of combusts Jupiter. Warm Regards Sanjay P.
