Guest guest
Dear Chandrashekhar and Visti, Thank you for your replies. I hadn't thought about exaltation in terms of the distance of the planet(s) from the earth and the strength of the light or reflected light. I had been thinking along the line that exaltation was at one time associated with the Istha Pala and with the procession of the equinoxes the association has become unclear. Guest guest
Hari Om Namo Viswarupaya Namah Namaskar, Folks this is a VERY good conversation on Exaltation. On one side we are looking to the physical reasons for exaltation e.g. Surya's rays cast on earth. On the other hand we have the discussion that Brendan started that the rishi's describe in the Puranas, and this I believe will help us define and understand this better - as the rishi's work from the level of Rtambhara Prajna. It is my intuition that suggests that the exaltation points will be how the Graha's provide maximum spirital values, dharma, or evolution to the native (and sadhu) These will then be complemented with the physical characteristics defined more astrologically - distance, wavelengths, etc etc. Pranams, Frank in San Diego varahamihira , " Robben Hixson " <passage@b...> wrote: > Dear Chandrashekhar and Visti, > > Thank you for your replies. Guest guest
Hare Rama Krsna Sanjay has mentioned previously that these degrees are relative to the varga charts. If you would like to do some research on the topic, take the planet into that degree and look at where it falls through all the varga charts, to get an idea of what area of life is affected by the exaltation and debilitation.
