Explanation sought - Bhagwat Geeta

Dear list,

I was looking at Chapter 10 in Geeta with the

following verse:

“Among the Adityas, I am Vishnu: among the luminaries,

the resplendent sun; I am Marichi among the Maruts;

among the heavenly bodies, I am the Moon.” (21-X)

Can anybody comment on the first portion “Among the

Adityas, I am Vishnu " ? Which of the tweleve Adityas

or Sun signs represents vishnu?

As son of Aditi (Aditya), he is Vaamana incarnation

as I find on net. As sun signs, Could it be that

Sagittarius represents Vishnu as it is also the

natural 9th house?

Any clues with anybody here?

The twelve signs of zodiac are also called the Dwadas Adityas. They are as follows starting from Aries to Pisces.

1. Aryama2. Mitra3. Arun4. Indra5. Vivaswan6. Pusha7. Parjanya8. Anshuman9. Bhaga10. Twastha11. Vishnu12. Dhata

Vishnu is the 11th sign, i.e., Aquarius. This sign is represented by a Kumbha (pitcher) full of knowledge and is associated with the Mahakumbha mela, once in 12 years.
