Guest guest
Om Subrahmanyaya Namah Dear Members, Namaste. There is a small text called Jaataka Chandrika, with 70 stanzas, and considered to be written by Venkatesa. The work is more or less a compilation of important slokas/points in BPHS to delineate results in Dasas. For beginners this is considered to be an important text and since many people are unaware of this small yet important text, I took some time off to attempt an English translation of this text as I understood these slokas from a commentary in my mother tongue. How important and helpful this text is, one can understand after going through the work. The proof of the pudding is in the eating :- ) I have quoted the slokas also in Englsh. But my Sanskrit, English and above all Astrology knowledge is meager, and in any case, this effort is only to introduce this text to those who are unaware of. Good commentaries may be available for the text. Before one masters BPHS, learning this small text gives the basic knowledge to understand the Dasas etc; The last chapter’s ‘phalaani…’ and ‘yogeshu..’ are advices that are matchless. It gives me immense pleasure to introduce you all, one of my favourite texts. It’s said ‘Maataa Pitaa Guru Daivam’. I pray to them for their blessings, especially my Uncle-Aunty who are my Diksha Guru and Guruji Sri Chandrashekhar Sharma. Also Pt Sanjayji for his selfless efforts for the cause of Jyotish and you all for helping me to learn and grow. I sincerely hope that you will find this useful. Astrologically yours, Saaji New and Improved Mail - Send 10MB messages!
