Vimshottari Dasa from Jup instead of Moon/Lagna

Dear Learned Members,

 

A small doubt.

1.Most of you all are well versed in classics, I was wondering if instead of calculating Vimshottari Dasa from Moon/Lagna, has their been a mention of using it from any other planet in the classics

2. Does the commercial version of JHL have the option of calculating Vim dasa from any planet. Is their any other software which does this.

3. Has anyone ever tried using Vim dasa calculated from any other planet.

Dear Jagmeet,

Thanks for this, thats the software which I don't have (nor any commercial soft). )

Well, have you played around with this option and found any results. My old man said that one should use this option of the Vim dasa for Jup and also for any planet, but so far in none of the lists anyone uses it as per what I have seen, hence I was in two doubts if this is a reliable method sanctioned by the sages.

If Parasara Light uses it maybe somewhere it must have been mentioned and the method of how exactly to apply it.

I am interupting in your discussion. The JH

commercial version did not givethe option of

calculating the vishittari dasa from the longitudes of

planets. But it has the options for calculating the

dasa from the Gulika, Pranasphuta, and other

Nakshtras.The finding the Gurus VD has a reference in

ChandraKala nadi.

Mandi, Trisphuta works excellently for timing certain

events and evils.
