For all: download the first 5000 VA Archive messages

Dear All,

It’s not a common day when transit Jupiter conjunct ones natal Moon and at the same time transit Rahu conjunct lagna lord, Sun AND transit Mars opposite Rahu – so far into the day a strange mixed feeling indeed but as any other day otherwise ....

However, on this “occasion” I like to give you all a small gift, saving you for hundreds of hours of internet searching in the Vedic Astrology list archives.

You’ll be able to search for 'anything' in your own time within your own computers harddisk with at list the better part of the first 5000 messages that I have gathered (don’t ask me how.. ..) and grouped into around 500 messages per group as described below.

All messages are in their original format (as they appear when logged into ), however a couple of messages may be missing here and there, mostly in the first group of 1-9999, which you can “fill in manually”.

I have placed the 9 zipped files of around 2Mb each on my site where they can be downloaded by simply clicking the links below (please wait until one file is finished downloading before clicking the next).

Once downloaded to your computer I suggest that you create a directory for each group and unzip the respective files into them.

If you have a very more “modern and fast computer” (1.4 Mhz and above)you may find it easier to place all 4500 files in one directory (NOT recommended for slower computers).

There are several free ‘Text Search’ programs for Windows available for downloading on the Internet.

However, I also added a very small (12Kb) and quick {!} “oldie but goodie” Dos program, TS.EXE for downloading. It starts also in Windows (a Dos window) and if placed in any directory it can search an entire collection for both words as well as whole sentences.

I suggest that you place TS.exe in each of the created directories.
