Guest guest
Om sriimaannaaraayano vishnur vaasudevoabhirakshathu Hello , Wondered if anyone has an opinion on a simple setting: Geographic or Topograhic setting for calculating a Rasi Chart. Example: Topographic: Chandra in D1 is at 15Ta47 Geographic setting Chandra is at 16Ta33. Any opinions on the center of the earth calculation vs. Topographic Or the birth location on the earth's surface? Guest guest
|| Jaya Jagannath || Dear Frank, The planet appears in different positions when viewed from different positions of earth. However it is said that when viewed from any point of earth, the position of the planet remains the same, in some specific longitude in a Rasi and constellation, which can only happen when we take the geocentric position. Thus if it said the a planet, say Jupiter has changed sign; such statement can only be valid for all denizens of earth if we take the geocentric positions, otherwise for different parts of the world the date and time would differ for such transition. Guess I made my point clear. Best Wishes Sarajit fls999999999 [frank_in_sandiego] Tuesday, November 09, 2004 9:52 AM varahamihira |Sri Varaha| Topographic or Geocentric - which is best?
