Sarbani and Partha,

You seem to be using different lagnas, I would agree with the Cancer

lagna, as it puts the lagna into Ashlesha nakshatra. Cayce's information

came through during trance states (naga realms) not particularly dreams.

[They call him the " sleeping prophet " because he was tranced out in his

readings and didn't remember anything when he returned, but sleep was not

the clinical state he was in].

Cancer lagna also puts Ketu in the 2nd and lord of 2nd from AL.

Cayce did not choose to be a psychic channel, he was forced to. He lost his

voice and was not able to talk until a traveling hypno-therapist put him in

a trance to fix his voice, while in a trance state he had full use of his

voice, he did not get his voice back until he started channeling.

I first got into Cayce when I found his works on the shelves of some

ayurvedic doctors I was interning with in Pune. I found he was very popular

since his remedies relate directly to Ayurvedic medicine. In the US his

remedies were not easy to implement because he was not giving the western

medical advice.

I would even go a little farther than the chart in the famous charts

files with a 3:03 time to 2:51:53 with Jupiter in the 5th house of navamsa.

He was a man who read the bible everyday of his life and is known to have

read it through multiple times. He was known for quoting scripture in his

waking state, besides being able to sleep with a book under his head and

wake up having 'read' it.

Few Additional points: the fact that the 8th house of occult is so heavily

loaded. The rashi is the philosopher's sign Kumbha, with both the 8th lords

present there; along with 12th lord (of sleep) Mercury and AK Venus. Venus

itself is the 11th lord, so important for studying occult subjects and when

present in the 8th house with its lords the yoga is complete. Rahu will give

tremendous research capabilities and the ability to dig deep. The

association of the AK with the 11th house shows that his occult interests

was a spiritual quest and not simply a material pursuit.

The 9th lord Jupiter is in Komala shashtiamsa and in a lovely

Dharmakarmadhipati Yoga in dhanu with 5th lord Mars. Mars is also the 10th

lord conjoined with the 9th lord of dreams, as we see 'sight' from the 10th

house. The 2nd lord is Sun itself, again placed in the 9th house of dreams.

Obviously with such a high agni tatva in the houses of eyes and sight, he

apparently had some very powerful visions. But we need to see the D-144

chart for more precision, as it is the chart for deciphering dreams and

visions.

Venus and Rahu in the 8th with Ketu in the 2nd gives a tapaswi yoga in the

8th house. Lagna Lord in the 10th house gives the yoga to achieve siddhis.

With the 7th lord in the 8th house with the 8th lord and Venus in the 8th as

well, was he much into marriage, I wonder?

In the navamsa, note the Pishacha Badha (did he delve into spirits?), the

exchange between Jupiter and Mercury, the Moon in the 8th.

I had attended past life sessions, worshshops, and Edgar Cayce was mentioned

quite a few times. I did not pursue his case much. But after seeing his

chart, i feel quite excited.

12th Lord Moon in 9th house. The area from 9th to 3rd is called the Dream

sphere, and 9th house is the starting point of dream state. 9th and 12th

houses are quite important for dreaming. Thus much of his fortune is from

dreaming!

 

AL is in Thula Rasi and Moon is in 7th. Interestingly He has

Mercury-venus-rahu-Saturn combination in aquarius. Swee was telling me that

Venus-saturn can give psychic abilities. Here rahu also adds up with 2nd

lord of vision mercury. Venus in saturniun houses, aspected by rahu or

saturn can give psychic experiences i repeat.

Rahu gives more profound results.

 

Now we can also see That Jupiter is in fifth with mangal. This is a

fantastic Raj Yoga and its results were fabulous.

There is a Change of Amatya Karaka. Moon is the new AMK replacing Saturn.

Saturn rules hospitals, and Moon psychic /menta/.consulting kind of work.

The fact that moon is 12th lord meant that his New profession would be that

of Dream specialist.

 

Let us go further, he has mercury afflcited in a saturniun house with host

of malefics. His rise to fame was due to a " Throat " problem. Thus he gained

considerabale mileage due to the same.

His son died probably due to karako bhava nasha of Jupiter.

 

Lagna lord Sun in extremely deep " pisces " and that too 8th house in the star

of Saturn who causes the psychic yoga in 7th.
