Namaste Gurus and Learned Members,

This is to request a clarification about Nakshatra compatibilities for alliances, may be a dumb question, but wanted your help in getting the correct principle. Can we perform a marriage if the Nakshatra are the same for both the boy and the girl?. I noted from some book (I forgot the reference) some time ago that such a marriage CAN be performed in the case of the following 19 Nakshatra's: Asvini, Krttika, Rohini, Mrgasirsha, Arudra, Punarvasu, Pushyami, Makha, Pubba, Uttara, Hasta, Chitta, Visakha, Auradha, Purvashadha, Uttarashadha, Sravanam, Uttarabhadra, and Revati; and CANNOT be performed in the case of the remaining 8 Nakshatra's: Bharani, Aslesha, Svati, Jyeshtha, Mula, Dhanishta, Satabhisham, and Purvabhadra, EVEN in cases where there is difference in the paadam. As I have now faced a situation where a prospective Girl's star is Bharani 1st paadam and Boy's is Bharani 3rd

Padam. Also how about if the both are in Bharani 1st Paadam ?

Please clarify my doubt and educate me on this. Thanks for your help in advance.
