I got the eclipse start time from another group. Not sure if it is correct. is there any other source of getting the time? i checked Nasa-site but could not locate the time

Well, if my understanding is correct- it is to be a eclipse enter chart? and various natives will be affected in different ways based on the eclipse lagna on there natal chart?

 

I am not aware if eclipse start time can be seen from jhora. You have written eclipse of April 9, 2005, but as i know - eclipse starts at 23:30 pm (IST) on 8.4.05, and at that time at Sambalpur Sag will rise not makara.

 

Or i am missing something here?

what do you get using JHora? What is the time for the start of the eclipse. This time should be used to calculate the lagna for different places (again place based on birth place).

Sorry I missed a few vital points and am adding this as a follow up to my earlier mail

 

Theory of eclipses

Lagna

1. Eclipse lagna is crucial and the sign rising and planets in it in natal chart play a crucial part in deciding events till the next cycle for *18 years*.

Illustration - My chart

A. In my chart the eclipse of March 29, 1968 was in Makara Lagna which is 11th house and Saturn is in my lagna. Remember famous dogbite case that followed in February 1969. This time also the solar eclipse was followed by a lunar eclipse of April 13 1968 (8.39.45" am).

B. In the eclipse of March 29, 1987 the lagna was Kanya which is my 7th house and marriage and fruits of marriage followed.

C. In the eclipse of April 9, 2005 the lagna is again Makara lagna but Saturn is in 4th house. This time Guru is in mokshakaraka Ketus conjunction - freedom from what? Parampara yoga? What is exalted Mars doing in eclipse lagna as 9th lord ...I wonder about fathers health in the days to come more so as the luminaries are in kumbhamsa this time whcih is my 12th house natally. Father starts his Buddha dasa in Sept 2006.

Dear Sanjay Ji,

My experience in eclipses say that the forthcoming Solar Eclipse will have good effects.The Eclipse is almost falling on your Lagna and 10th lord Guru and at that time Budha - Chandra and Kuja period will be going on using 360 Savana days per year.The said planets are also involved in eclipse in Meena Rashi.As the eclipse occurs in Dwiswabhava Rashi of Meena Rashi, the results will be almost for about 6 months.The results are suddenly there will be elevation to a Higher Knowledge from the exact time of eclipse.Kuja in your chart is in 7th which is 2nd and 9th lord and is in Kendra from the eclipse point indicating sudden gains to your father.But Rahu and Ketu are also in other Kendras ,so some health problems also may occur during these 6 months time.
