Order of Vimsottari Dasa

Accept my belated Vishu greetings.

The following piece on order of vimsottari dasha was taught by my father. I

don't know how many of you have already know this. But I'm sure, this is not

in the general vimsottari texts.

The order of Vimsottari is indicating a connection between the rationale of

1) the rulerships, 2) the exaltations and 3) the lords of the Nakshatras in

Vimsottari Dasa.

Rulerships : - Sun and moon are opposed by Saturn. Venus and mars are

opposing each other. Mercury and jupiter oppose each other. so is Rahu and

ketu. Rahu is believed to be exalted in Gemini.(rahu is related to moon, so

placing him on moon's side is more logical )

Exaltations : - Saturn is exalted in Tula roughly opposite to the middle

point of exaltation points of Sun and moon. jupiter is exalted opposite to

that of Mars. So is between Mercury and Venus.

Now, draw a diagramme , keeping in mind all these facts. You should get the

same diagramme as attached one.

In the diagramme, the vertical lines are based on exaltation and horizontal

lines are based on ownership.

Now, starting from top, the order is sun, moon, mars, rahu, jupiter,

saturn, mercury, ketu and venus which is exactly the order of vimsottari.

( The total years of vimsottari i.,e, 120 years is based on the 120 degrees

between Moola and revathi or Dhanu to Mesha. )

With Regards,
