Dear Dilip.

This is a very important topic.

At this years West Coast conference we will look at this whole topic

of our human sufferings in various ways in depth whether it be

through ill health, enemies,mental sufferings,finance,etc

-and so please get the cds when they are ready.Im sure many fine

lecture papers will come out of it as well, and end up in JD.

(Perhaps you can give some chart data for us to look at here for now,

in the case you mentioned

)

I wonder the same things about karmas.,. I think most answers can be

found in Sri Bhagavad-Gita.

Whether this is present lifetime karmas

or coming from previous lifetimes.In the scriptures it states that

the seeds of karmic reactions and the laws of karma are so extensive

they cant completly be understood.

In this lifetime we can be experiencing some bad karmas from many

lifetimes back.

 

As astrologers and humans on a spiritual path it is in every souls

best interest to understand our bad karmas from the past and also

understand what causes bad karma to avoid in future.

As astrologers One example is

understanding the concept of badhaka.

We can help the people who come to us understand their karma so that

they are not constantly falling into a cycle of birth and death, but

instead can move towards moksha.In my opinion that is why Jyotish is

the eye of the Vedas.

Most of the time people want advice on how to IMPROVE their material

life but could care less about their spiritual developement and the

AK.

IN the Bhagavad -Gita is says that 4 kinds of pious people render

some devotional service,(or make some offerings to GOd)

1) those who are looking for knowledge of the Absolute

2) those that are suffering

3) those that are looking for a wife,wealth

4)those that are curious.

 

Doesnt that look very familiar? Why do people approach an astrologer?

Astrologically,

We can look at whether coming from 6th house 8th house and moveable ,

fixed or dual signs tells us how easy to do something about

it.Astrology does give us some clues by looking at the subtler varga

divisions.We can look at rasi,navamsa, D-3,D-10,D-60,etc. for best

clues to see were we were and what actions we are likely to take in

this lifetime.And thus determine what karmas good and bad we create

for future births.

 

One interesting clue Sanjay mentioned in reference to Moola dasa (a

scheme used to see the times when curses and evils will fructify)

He said that anyone thinking of taking Sannyasa should check with

MOola dasa scheme as it shows karmas that are destined to be felt

and " burned up " in this lifetime.

Only after the person has gone through first round,Moola(cycle) and

cleared his accumulated past debt for this lifetime should be take on

the vows and life as a sannyasis.It is also very bad for a person to

commit sins while living life of sannyasis.So it is important to

examine the chart carefully of anyone choosing such a path.

If you study many people charts you can see they dont even end the

first Moola Dasa cycle till very late in life.

That is one good reason why sannyas shouldnt be taken till older age.

Sanjay knows many things and let us pray he continues to be like an

artesian well of knowledge for us.

Personally, I have accepted it as my Karma that have placed me in

such a situation. I have no complaint against Him who have created

this scheme of existence for some purpose only known to Him.
