Announcing the starting of the Vyasa study circle in California Bay Area. Classes will be held regularly on Sundays (initially alternate weekends and subsequently every weekend).

The first class will be held on Sunday Sep 11, 2005 at the above-mentioned address and will be taught by Pt.Sanjay Rath.

Topic for discussion: 'Dasavatar & Guna'.

The ten incarnations of Vishnu discussed in brief with their mantras; explanation of the natural zodiac, the yuga rasi etc, and the guna of the signs and its modifications based on the nature of the signs; implications for various lagna;

Time: Abhijit Muhurta 10.50 PST (i.e. exactly 12 Noon LMT)

Recording of the classes will be done for the benefit of future Vyasa-SJC students and other students in USA.

Future classes: Graha, Rasi, Varga, Dristi etc will be taken by Freedom Tobias Cole in subsequent Sundays.

Goal: To have 12 students (at least) as expert Jyotishi's by the year 2007 (2 year target) having good knowledge of Brihat Parasara Hora Shastra.

All are welcome. There are no charges but students are expected to buy coffee for Pt.Rath and lunch for the Jyotish Guru's.
