Guest guest
Hare Rama Krishna Dear Gurus, I have a doubt regarding the identification of Ishta Deva. (a) Under Files > Compilation > Ishta Devata.pdf for Question 1: When finding out the Ishta devta we look for 1) planets in 12th from Krakamsha 2) if no planets than Rasi Dristi 3) if no planets in Rasi Dristi then the Bhavapati will signify the Ista Devta. What if there are more planets in the 12th? Should we consider all Devtas or chose the strongest? => Answer 1:Yes, you should chose the strongest (by way of degrees - the one who has won over others). ? Question 2: What if there are more planets aspecting it? => Answer 2: All the planets aspecting the 12th will give the result. But again, the one who will rule over the rest of the planets will the strongest by the same rule as above. (b) Under Files > Lessons > Ishta_Devata.doc Page 3, If the 12th house is occupied by a planet, then this indicates the Ista devata; If more than one occupy, then the strongest shall indicate the Ista devata and if none occupy this sign, then the Lord of the sign shall indicate the Ista Devata. MY QUESTION: 1) Please clarify whether we should take into planets as per Rasi Dristi before the lord as in the first (a) or should it be like in the second (b)? 2) In my chart (DOB - 10/June/1976 8:08 AM Madurai) My AK is Moon in Mithuna and there is no planet in the 12th. Mars aspects Taurus from Capricorn. Will my Ishta Deva be Lord Hanuman (to whom I have been performing worship for the past 6-7 years, started off as a result of one of my friends saying it is good) as Mars aspects Taurus or MahaLakshmi (to whom my mother has been urging me to worship) as Venus is the Lord of Taurus? regards, Ram

What if there are more planets in the 12th? Should> we consider all Devtas or chose the strongest?> => Answer 1:Yes, you should chose the strongest (by way of degrees -> the one who has won over others). [sourav]: If more than one graha in the 12-th from Karakaamasa, choose the strongest by placement e.g. exaltation is stronger that being in a mitra rasi etc. Sometimes blending of two is also done. E.g. if there is Surya and Budha in there - Budha indicates Vishnu and Surya can 'color' it by indicating Sri Rama who is an avatara of Vishnu and also Suryavanshi. The bottomline is that whatever choices we as astrologers make, it will finally lead to the right direction on its own. The idea of Ishta is sarvavyapakesha or One who is present everywhere and if we can attain to that idea, we have reached the goal in worship. > ? Question 2: What if there are more planets aspecting it?> => Answer 2: All the planets aspecting the 12th will give the result.> But again, the one who will rule over the rest of the planets will the> strongest by the same rule as above. [sourav]: If there are no grahas, then the lord is taken. Each of the rasi-aspecting grahas (and also the graha with is conjoining the lord) can also influence choices. Strongest of the grahas influencing will determine the form. The strongest is determined by the usual strength rules and not degrees. > > (b)> Under Files > Lessons > Ishta_Devata.doc Page 3,> If the 12th house is occupied by a planet, then this indicates the> Ista devata; If more than one occupy, then the strongest shall> indicate the Ista devata and if none occupy this sign, then the Lord> of the sign shall indicate the Ista Devata. > > MY QUESTION:> 1) Please clarify whether we should take into planets as per Rasi> Dristi before the lord as in the first (a) or should it be like in the> second (b)?> > 2) In my chart (DOB - 10/June/1976 8:08 AM Madurai) > My AK is Moon in Mithuna and there is no planet in the 12th. Clearly Mangal has dominated due to strength. Mangal is also aspecting Shukra, Surya and is aspected by Guru. Please continue your worship of Lord Hanumaan and He will lead you. The idea is, as I said, to be able to see Ishta everywhere. The form is not the goal. However, form is suggested in order to make it easy for us to concentrate. Incidentally, as I suspected and also verified from your chart, Shukra is Matrikaraka and posited in the 12th house in own rasi. Hence the prompting by mother ! to worship Mahalakshmi. > regards,> Ram>
Guest guest
Hare Rama Krsna In general, the aspects of planets to the 12th from KK will indicate devatta that will lead us to the Ishta, while the planet there/or its lord will indicate the Ishta itself. Sometimes we need help purifying ourselves or being led to the situation where the we can become ready for the Ishta to enter our life.
