Dear Freedom-ji,

Mamaskar. I have noted your articles in your website on the Introduction to Kaalachakra and am happy to read it. I am interested to know more and seek your advise for further resources. I am especially interested in the astrological import of the Tantra text. Is Kaalachakra Tantra by H. H. Dalai Laama & Jeffery Hopkins a good book to start with ? Are there other such articles/mp3 from yourself or others ?

There is very little taught openly, as it

is “tantric” astrology. The Information taught by the Dali Lama is

more about the initiation into Kalachakra, though gives details about the

composition of the chakra. The actual astrological portions of the Kalachakra

are largely untranslated. I spent a long time in Delhi with different professors trying to

find someone who could translate the work, but no luck. I sent a copy of some

of the sanksrit to Nagpur

and have not gotten any replies from them.

 

There is one Atri lesson on the deities/directions

and the kalachakra which is very good. But small next to the amount of

information in the tantra, with 720 deities.
