AATHREYA – GENERAL POINTS OF INTEREST

 

I . Puthra ( Vijaya ) GaNapathi Day - Once a month every Fourth Day after

New Moon –

Auspicious for Kids and

Mothers –

expecting or want to be.

 

 

 

II . Naaga Chathurtthi : same as above I . Puthra GaNapathi

 

 

III . Naaga Panchami : Once a month every Fifth Day after

New Moon – same as in I . Puthra

GaNapathi.

 

IV . Sankata Hara Chathurtthi : Once a month every Fourth Day after

Full Moon ( note

the difference between I and II )

 

 

V . SubrahmaNya Shashtti : Once a month every Sixth Day after

New Moon – same as

I.Puthra gaNapathi

 

VI . Bhaanu Sapthami : Seventh Day after New Moon or Full Moon ,

if it is Sunday – good for

Health and Longevity.

If this day is also associated

with Moon in

Pushyami Star – Pushya – Arka

Yogam - good day.

 

VII . Shani Thrayodasi : Thirteenth Day after New Moon or Full Moon,

if it is Saturday –

Auspicious Day for Shaneeshwara.

 

VIII . Maasa Shiva Raathri : Every month a day before New Moon –

Night Of Shiva

 

IX . SankramaNam or Sankraanthi – Once a month When Sun enters a Raasi

Day of

obeisance to one's ancestors .

 

X. Ekaadasi and Dwaadasi : Eleventh and Twelfth Days after New Moon and

Full Moon – Days of Vishnu.

 

All the above days one can pray , or fast , or meditate , or observe silence

and / or visit Temple . Be nice to one and all . Let Noble Thoughts Come .
