there are a few reasons for it

 

one Lagna is 2.5 hrs approx and chandra transit in a star will be 24 hrs

approx so got the preference in deciding the Dasa starting point esp when times

are not so accurately recorded as child birth is not as easy as unwrapping a

tooth paste or a biscuit packet isn't it

 

and major reason can be mind over matter the corner stone of Vedic thinking

 

a weak mind gets defeated inspite of several strengths

the line in Ramayana when

Raven's charioteer was killed his chariot and weapons destroyed sri Rama's

words of humility " please go now and come back tomoorow "

 

looked like charity for a invincible Ravana he was mentally vanquished then

itself a ordinary man has given him the grace to live another day...! as next

day he had not much to do

 

so has all the epics depicted the invincibles lost to v small failings esp of

the mind.... to save space I stop here

 

so CHANDRA BEING MANO KARAKA has the obvious RULERSHIP on its PLACEMENT

DECIDING THE DASA ALL physical features can be seen from lagna and its degree if

converted to dasas

 

but how the mind works in our lives, be it work home, it is Chandra is the

decider

Vimsottari Dasa: Started from lagna or moon

 

Dear Members,

 

Vimsottari dasa should be taken from lagna or moon..

 

I am following this rule:

See which of Moon or Lagna (excluding itself) has max number of

planets in quadrants from it. In case of tie, Moon wins. Else which

has max number of planets wins

 

What are some modifiers to this rule?
