Dear learned members.

I desire to bring to your notice that in Times of

India dated 27th, page 19, a news has published that

the government of UK has passed a law that the sooth

sayer, psychic, occult, tantriks and astrologer etc

has to write on their sign board that the services are

for " the entertainment only " " has not proved

experimentally " and disclaimed it results. Any visitor

or resident not abiding the law can be booked under

law.

No astrologer can claim 100% true prediction. It is

only Brahma who can claim for the 100% correct

prediction.It was the opening shloka of astrological

magazine. It is because:

a)We have only the little knowledge of our Solar

System, not the whole Universe.

b)We do not know other factors which are influencing

us.

c) That every thing is relative.

d) The Universe is expanding and changing every

friction of second.

e)we have confusion about the ayanamsa.

f) We have confusion about the time of birth and there

are so many other factors which are not known to us.

Under such circumstances how can we claim 100% correct

predictions. When a distressed and suffering person

goes to rogue/thaga astrologers he claims 100% relief

through astrological remedies. He charges large amount

of money for his services. The sufferings person has

to pay to relive his suffering

as in medical treatment. When medical services come

under consumer act, why not astrological or occult or

psychic services. UK government and Europeon Union is

right to bring these services under law. Astrological

services are only to guide to travel through the

journey of life.I shall like to request Indian

Government to bring these services under law to curb

the exploitation of innocent person who desire to have

relief from the mental agony.

Namaste,

Astrology is bread and butter to few, out the present population of

India is around 1.4 Billion (1400 Million).Hence Indian Govt, may not consider

your cry.

However I think that you have made a good suggestion.

* Om Kleem Kamalathmikayai Namah *

Dear Mr. Kursija,

While I agree with the " Original Intent " of article and in retro " your(?) view "

in terms of curbing the exploitation of fake-tantriks and commercial-TV-Advt.

astrologers;

& nbsp;

Let me remind you that this cry is coming from people who hates ORIENT-la-EAST.

& nbsp;

I disagree with this notion of bringing this tradition under Consumer Act. We

humans are getting dumber by each day and now we came to a stage we need to buy

water.. may be tomorrow we need buy " air " in packets too... Our sages and rishis

never bought land, water or air. If they know that consumerism is grown to this

stage- their spirit(s) and knowledge & nbsp;would just leave earth to find a

better place.

& nbsp;

Why dont the same european govt. bring Churches under Consumer Act? They also

have claims that their Spiritual Services " heel " the problems. IS Any body is

suing them or God if the prayers are not answered OR the problems were not

solved?

& nbsp;

I shall agree to bring astrological services (esp. vedic astrology) under

Consumer Act- ONLY if Churches (or other religious sites and scriptures) are

also brought under Consumer Act.

Again, a true astologer (esp. Vedic system) guides the subjective native with in

a dharmic frame work and offers a moral & amp; spiritual path. He will & nbsp;NEVER

be arrogant, make tall claims, gives 100% surity of the un-assured.

& nbsp;

A fake astrologer is completely opposite to the above.

Well, I am ready for your beatings.

Best Regards,

Raj Upadhrasta.
