Help with rectification of Navamsa Lagna

Dear learned members,

 

I recently found out that my Navamsa lagna changes if i change my

birthtime by seconds ! I tried to apply the jyotish techniques for

rectification, but failed. Can you please help me with this?

 

The recorded birthtime is: 16th January, 1981, 5:35 p.m., Lucknow, India.

 

I believe that this time is accurate, but i definitely have no

confidence about my navamsa lagna. I am especially worried because if

the lagna is leo, it means that venus falls in 12th house in navamsa.

I have read that this placement is not at all good for marriage.

 

Is there anything in the navamsa which can decide conclusively?

 

Some of my personality characteristics:

Interest in a variety of subjects, engineer by occupation, currently

doing phd, a variety of hobbies including cooking, decorating,

painting, reading, good at languages (like to know the etymology of

words, have a good vocabulary etc), interested in literature. Have an

interest in astrology. In fact i sometimes wonder what I am doing in

science/engineering!

Yes for the time given by you confirms that Venus is in Cancer (Kataka) in

Navamsa Chat in aspect from Sun, Capricorn (Makara), the 6th house .  Do not get

allarmed!  Other positions of planets are to be considered. Sun is in Capricorn

(7th House) in your Lagna  in Birth chart as also in Navamsa to cause

Vargothama.  So  also the Moon, your Lagna Lord, is  exalted in Taurus (rishab)

and causing Vargothama in the same house in Navamsa. Venus is in Saggitarius,

the 6th house from Cancer Lagna in your birth chart and in 12th in Navamsa. 

With all the high lights I had listed above the position of Venus in 12th house

in Navamsa will have very negligable effect.  Further you will have Venus desa

to come to you in 2072 (you will be 89 and beyond) !

Dear learned members,

 

I am new to vedic astrology and cannot am hving difficulties in

determining my navamsa lagna. I am hoping that with your able help, I

can get an answer to this question, as well as learn a little more

about rectification techniques.

 

My birthtime is: 16th January, 1981, 5:35 p.m, Lucknow, India.

 

Here's my analysis:

 

If I take the birth time as reasonably accurate, then there are two

possibilities: Leo or Cancer as the navamsa lagna.

 

If I take Leo Lagna:

 

I get venus in 12th, implying i am not much interested in marriage

(sooo not true!)

 

I also get Rahu and Merc in trines to the lagna. Now i am not very

sure what abilities these confer, but the situation is complicated my

having Rahu in Rashi lagna. So i am doing a phd in mech engineering,

can't say anything about my communication skills, i can be very

expressive, but i am not a 'people's person'. i am no smooth talker. I

don't know what else Merc represents. I am also very obsessive and

research minded when I am trying to learn something new, and always

like in-depth knowledge. Love to read a lot, fiction mostly...i was a

voracious reader, nowadays I don't get that much time.

 

If I take Cancer Lagna:

I get venus in D-9 lagna, which i have read makes one good at dancing,

music etc. I do love to croon, but i can tell u for certain i can't

dance, and have no grasp of rhythm, so don't make a good singer as

well. Apart from that, i am a very visual person, and painting,

sketching, home decor, embroidery, knitting, crafts, all these I am

good at. I have been into these from a very young age, so you could

say it is not an 'acquired' talent, but something i was born with.

 

Other things I like to do is study people's psychology, read about

metaphysical/spiritual subjects, astrology, holistic medicine, etc etc.

 

I would be very grateful if someone here could help me reach a

conclusion. If any other info is needed, I would be glad to provide that.

everything has been moving at a very slow place, especially on

professional front. i thought that if venus is in 12th in navamsa,

then this might mean that it is in even worse position than in rashi.

Madam,

Navamsa Lagna is needed for the timing of marriage, as Navamsa will tell all

about spouse/s.  NAVAMSA chart is a must.  You Lagna is Pushya (1) and why you

have confusion, I do not understand in deciding that?  Yes. You are running Rahu

Desa Venus Bukti till 14 January 2010.

Just wait till 17th Dec. 2008, everything will come normal.

I was trying to follow a technique for timing marriage, when this

ambiguity in navamsa lagna came to my notice.

Dear Pathi ji,

Thanks for your kind reply. I am very relieved to hear that after Dec,

things will return to normal.

My Lagna is Pushya, but according to my software, if my birth time was

even half a minute earlier, it would be Punarvasu (4). This may not

have much effect on rasi chart, since lagna is still karka, but it

shifts the navamsa lagna. I sought the help of the knowledgeable

members of this group to rectify the navamsa lagna and for timing my

marriage. (i am single, and wish to know when I can get married.)
