The 10,000 strong staff of TTD expressed their resentment over the suspension of three officials who were already given clean chit by the CBCID which investigated the gold coins missing case in 2006. The entire staff working at the TTD headquarters here have boycotted from attending duties and staged a sit-in for three days to protest against the suspensions. The Executive Officer, Mr. Ramana who defended his action for two days in the media had to bend on the third day owing to the pressure from different quarters and the agitating TTD Staff at the admin building here, sources said. The TTD Board, which only empowered for withdrawal of suspension and termination, has convened its emergency meeting on the hills today and cancelled the orders of the Executive Officer. Meanwhile, rumours are doing rounds in the air that the Chief Vigilance Officer and the Executive Officer were upset over the developments in TTD. http://www.tirupatitimes.com/ <http://www.tirupatitimes.com/>
