Satya Narayan IYPASI SUKLA DWITHEEYA IS CELABRATED AS YAMA DWITHEEYA NAMASTE sri .Satya Narayanji and Sri. Narasimha P.V.R. Rao ji Just a few words about this auspicious day . According to the Hindu mythology.. YAMA ,the god of death is also the lord of justice. He is the son of Surya. His younger and twin sister is " YAMI " or Yamini, having tortoise as hervehicle (vahana) In this IYPASI SUKLA DWITHEEYA, Yama used to visit his sister's house on her invitation for a feast and bless her with lot of gifts.. This day is very significant for Maharashtrians and this they call as " Bavubeez " As you said , even this can be celebrated as the " brother-sister day " at the National level. Thank you for having given me a chance to say some thing about this ageold golden tradition.. Hinduism is not mere a religion it is the life style...no doubt Readers are kindly invited to visit my site: http://astrologyaccurate.blogspot.com/ <http://astrologyaccurate.blogspot.com/> regards, guruji.
