once sage bhargava also known as sukracharya did tapas for five

thousand years at kasi (varanasi) invoking the grace of lord shiva

after which lord shiva grants him the mrita sanjivini vidya and also

gives a boon that he will be born as his son later. He also makes

sukra as the foremost of all planets and gives a boon that all

marriages performed when sukra is rising shall be benefited. thus

sukra becomes kalatrakaraka for men and all men becomes manly and are

able to get sons with the grace of sukra.

 

later when pramadha ganas of lord shiva were fighting with daityas,

sukracharya was helping all dead rakshasas become alive which makes

lord shiva angry and lord shiva swallows sukracharya. after staying

inside the shiva's body for sometime, sage sukracharya assumes the

form of semen and comes out of lord shiva. then lord shiva grants a

boon that he be treated as a son of lord shiva.

 

with this backdrop, those men and women not getting married or not

having children are advised to worship lord shiva and do abhishekam

with milk to shivalingam so that planet sukra's benefic results start

happening soonest. remedies like these are very simple and doable

even by poor people to get benefic results from planet sukra.

 

sage sukracharya is a descendant of sage bhrigu and his original name

was usanasa and he wrote usana samhita which details about marriages

and also another book, usana smriti.

 

sage brihaspati, the guru of devatas, has a son named kacha who

approaches sukracharya as a shishya and learns mritasanjivini vidya.

sukracharya's daughter devayani and her story is known to most

people.

 

sage sukracharya with his powers helped hiranyakasipu rule the world

for some 73 crore years and also helped bali chakravarti ruled the

world for some 21 crore years.

 

it is pertinent to note that in hindu mythoogy, there is equal

representation of gods, sages, kings and even demons (rahu and ketu)

who are all allocated planetary status in which form they keep giving

their service to the universe.
