Please guide me.....Navamsa or Rasi; which one to analyse for matching for horoscope for marriage

Dear Respected Gurujis

I am Learning Vedic Astrology for the past few months from the Online Notes of

Respected Narasimha Ji.

As per my understanding Navamsa chart speaks about the Spouse of a person.

 

I am from Kerala. In my family almost all jyotish knowing people are analysing

the Rashi chart to find matching between horoscopes. Nakshatra match, Kuja

Dosham.......and other doshams.

 

My doubt is  Navamsa or Rashi ?????

 

which one to analyse for matching of horoscope....

 

I am in very need for this reply....since i am looking for my Soul mate.

 

Learned Gurujis please show some light for my issue.
