Guest guest
Dear PVR, I have a question regarding the chanting of the Maha Mrtyunjaya mantra as you have taught in lesson 6 in your Boston class. At 16:05 in the audio file, you mentioned about this mantra. In the pdf book compiled by your students, it is on page 23 (page 20 in pdf reader), under Key Points #16. You mentioned that this mantra should be pronounced as 7 words and " bandhanaanmrutyormoksheeya " should be pronounced as one word *in one breathe without pausing*. A pause between " bandhanaan " and " mrutyormoksheeya " makes it 2 words. These are my questions which are inter-related : 1. How long or obvious should a pause be in order for it to be considered a pause which signifies the end of a word? 2. When you were reciting the first 4 words in the audio file from 16:15 to 16:20, it sounded to me like 2 words because I can only notice a pause after the first 2 words. For 2 short words, for example the first 2 words in this mantra, it is quite easy and seems natural to pronounce them *in one breathe* without pausing as they are relatively short. Do we need to deliberately pause in-between these 2 words? Looking forward to your reply. Thank you. Best Wishes, Pushya
