Dear friends,

During the Asoka and Mauryan empires, 325-185 BCE, India became part of global politics. The Asokas left behind centers that formed important cultural and political links between India and the Mediterranean for the next several centuries. Asoka himself led a particularly bloody campaign against Kalinga (modern-day Eritrea) in which 100,000 were slain; subsequent generations would be told that his remorse led him to convert to Buddhism and unite India.

Dear ??

So now I am a Greek Eritrian instead of ORIYA from Orissa i.e. Odiya from Udra desha?

Oh yes that campaign was very bloody and it suined the state for many centuries. Even now they have the same Ashoka chakra flying about and it frightens the Oriyas...something with our psyche. Thats why we always feel alienated from the rest of India and thats why Orissa is still the POOREST, MOST BACKWARD and completely eclipsed state in India. We celebrate April 1st as our independence day isnetad of August 15th throughout Orissa.

Frankly its been a HUNDRED years since Vivekananda laughed at the claims of the Aryan invasion theory that was put forth by academic scholars and for a hundred years they kept the world in complete ignorance until recently when the Max Muellar theory has been completely debunked.

So, the scholars need another theory to say that the Veda came from Europe and cannot actually belong to such a backward people as the Indians!! This snobbish attitude will lead them to another theory which they will find very fine for another hundred years to fool their own people and then one day the BBC will finally have to put up a nice webpage saying all those hundred years of coveted research was bogus.

Why are the european scholars fooling their people?

So India did not have any knowledge or trade with the rest of the world before Alexander simply because any history other than in Greek lingo is not history. See another hidden attempt here. They are already *assuming too much* even before they start.

Best wishes and warm regards,

Sanjay Rath
