Dear Supriti,

I dont know the exact significance of your dream from an astrological

point of view, but I can provide some additional data points, and

perhaps some Guru can help us analyze them in depth (additional data

in the next para). From a psychological point of view, I always view

dreams in 2 parts: (a) the symbols appearing in the dream (b) the

feeling/desire/direction they evoke in you. In my understanding,

dreams such as these, which come from deep within the unconscious, is

some deeper understanding/power within you trying to convey some

message to you i.e. to your conscious self. It (the deeper

understanding) cannot use symbols you dont understand, because then

the resultant effect in terms of feelings/desire/direction will not be

achieved. For example, a devout catholic is unlikely to have dreams of

Shiva, even though he, the catholic, may be close to God. So the

symbols are " appropriately chosen " to evoke the right effect. So I

guess what I am trying to say is: Try and understand what Durga and

Ganesh mean to you personally - dont just take their " absolute "

meanings from other people. The dream meaning is hidden within their

personal symbolism to YOU. Do you personally associate them with

specific aspects/experiences/achievements/failures/deliverances in

YOUR life?

Of course, that is only one line of thinking. The other line of

thinking is purely astrological. Somewhere, the two meet. Now, getting

to the additional data points, I had a powerful dream a few months

ago, in which surprisingly, I was with extreme force (told to write it

down several times in the dream and I got up instantly reciting it

over and over), communicated the birthtime of a person. I never found

out who the person was or why this happened.

Anyway, after the above happened to me, I scoured the forums for dream

data, and I found the following, you will find them interesting too:

1) PVRji's dream: He too dreamt of idols but they suddenly got

energized. There were discussions on the forums hinting towards some

kind of Kundalini awakening. 5 planets in Pi in dream ascendant: March

28, 1998, 6am, Burlington, MA, USA.

2) Sanjayji's dream: I think this too was also a dream of a massive

Shiva idol inside his house and then outside again. ?Perhaps around

the time of publication of COVA? 5 planets in Ta in

dream ascendant: June 3, 2000, 5am, New Delhi, India.

My own dream was:

1) Communicated the birthtime of a person. Person's time: May 24,

1974, 13:45pm, Los Angeles, CA, USA. Dream time: September 26, 2006,

5am, San Jose, CA, USA. 5 planets in Vi in dream 2nd house.

I was thinking that perhaps lots of planets in the same house was

something in common, but after seeing your dream data, this does not

apply.

Anyway, lets see what others have to say..

Regards,

Dear Sandeep,

Sorry I missed your posting. Guruji replied to my posting and I do

not have words to explain how everything fell into place.

In my dream someone was telling me to pray to this unknown deity. I

told him that I do not know who HE is, nor do I know his mantra how

can I pray to him. The same voice told me HE is there, HE will help

you and I woke up.

When Guruji gave me the mantra and I saw a photograph of Shakti

Ganesha, I had no doubt, HE is who I had dreamt of.

One thing was that the dream lagna had Ma (my ishta devata) in it.

Mo was aspecting from the 7th house. Me and Rh was in my natal 12th

house.

Regards

Supriti

Dear Supriti (and all others following this thread),

No problem at all. Good to see your reply. So in your case Moon is

in the 7th house (and probably Sun in the 2nd house, i.e just before

full moon?). I also saw Swati's post about her dream of Shiva, and

Moon is in the first house (Sun in 2nd house - just before new

moon). I also read Sanjay P's mail - when he says Sun or Moon must

aspect first house, does he mean Rasi dristi or Graha dristi (I

guess this is a question to him)? In Archana's dream, Sun is in the

2nd, Moon is in the 8th (full moon). In my dream, Sun was in the

2nd, Moon in the 3rd (just after new moon) with only Rasi dristi on

the ascendant.

Also, in every single case, it is early morning, so Sun without

doubt in all cases must be in the 1st or 2nd house. So I guess a lot

of dreams are accurate then.

I looked at PVRji's and Sanjayji's dreams, and in both their cases,

it is almost exactly new moon in their dream ascendant i.e. Sun and

Moon both in the first house. I wonder if these new moon dreams have

more significance? If so, pay attention to early morning dreams

occuring on April 18th and 19th then :-)

Another thing that I think PVRji had mentioned was perhaps something

to the effect that it matters where the dream ascendant is from the

natal ascendant. In PVRji's case, the dream ascendant was in his

natal 7th, and I believe he accepted Sanjayji as his Guru soon

afterwards. In Sanjayji's case the dream ascendant was in his natal

3rd, and I believe he published COVA soon afterwards. In my case,

natal 7th too, but I had lots of property trouble and disagreement

with my wife soon afterwards..

Hope the above data was interesting, always interested in seeing

more info and analysis

Thanks
