Recently I had the occasion to analyse and interpret the chart of a national level political leader. There is Kalpadruma Yoga in the chart. This is the first time that I have had the chance to work with this Yoga when it has occured in the chart of a public figure.

 

My work with the Yoga in the chart was based on what I learnt from your lesson on the subject in the recently released Collected Papers in Vedic Astrology-Vol. 1. As you have taught, the Buddhi Gati Dasha, as given in the Agni Purana applies very accurately in the Rashi Chart. Though I have been requested specifically to keep the birth data private, the planetary positions are given below to illustrate the Kalpadruma Yoga:

 

Mithun Lagna with Budh, Shukra, Guru and Ketu in Lagna; Vakri Mangal and Rahu in the 7th House in Dhanu Rashi; Vakri and exalted Shani in the 5th House in Tula Rashi; Surya in Marana Karaka Sthana in the 12th House; Chandra in the 3rd in Simha and Budh placed in Kumbha Navamsha.

 

As this is the first time I have worked with a horoscope of this sort and of such conspicuous attainment, I will be grateful for a few pointers regarding Dasha applicability. For Rajayoga and all the developments on the political and professional front, I used the Buddhi Gati Dasha in the Rashi Chakra and all the events were mirrored very well over nearly three decades. However, Dwisaptati Sama Dasha, which also applies in the chart, does not reflect those events as well in the Rashi Chart. Why does the Buddhi Gati Dasha reflect professional attainments in the Rashi Chart so well and appear to by-pass the rule of examining the specific Varga in this regard?

 

The Dwisaptati Sama Dasha gives good results in the D-10 chart and regarding personal events in the Navamsha. The Lagna Vimshottari similarly reflects the professional attainments in the Rashi Chart. My final reliance was placed on Narayan Dasha in Rashi and Varga. I would be grateful if the specific roles of the Buddhi Gati Dasha in charts of unique achievement and conditional Dasha in Rashi were clarified for purposes of learning and future application, in this horoscope and otherwise.

 

In line with your teaching, just as the Buddi Gati Dasha gave excellent results in the charts of Pt. Nehru and Mahatma Gandhi, in this chart too, it is absolutely on the spot in dictating political milestones and other professional achievements.
