Guest guest
om gurave namah Dear Narasimha, For too long have we waited for you to come out with *your version* of Drig Dasa. Of course we all say that we are following Parasara...I did not know of another teacher. Do you? Even Rao and the others swear by Parasara, yet you seem to be the only one who says that you teach exactly that which is taught by Parasara! Narasimha, none of us can do that - to do that we have to be *trikaala-gya*. I agree that there are some aspects of Jaimini and Parasara which I may not have *fully taught* in the past, and am doing so now through the Course on Maharishi Jaimini's Upadesa Sutra during which I shall train 27/28 nakshatras to shine in the Jyotish sky...oh yes, they will shine...all of them. Next I will teach the Course on Brihat Parasara Hora Shastra, as only after this course will they be ready to grasp Parasara in His completeness. Please NOTE: For those of you who wish to learn the course, please get in touch with one of the 27 teachers as they alone can guide you step by step through this subject. The Course Book is going to be available shortly and is about 650 pages for Pada I (only) of Adhyaya I. Very soon the other three padas will also be available. It is better to study with a certified Jaimini Scholar. I will request Ajay Zarotia/Sarbani to forward the names and emails of the 27 scholars with a brief to all lists. ----------you wrote------- 9:00 am - 12:30 pm: " Drigdasa Taught by Parasara " - by PVR Narasimha Rao -------- Pranapada lagna is an important special ascendant taught by Parasara. It is the source of the life force within us. It is a very important and yet the least understood special ascendant. It is important in birthtime rectification, timing of various events including diseases and even death. Pt Sanjay Rath taught several things about it for the first time in this presentation and the SJC-Boston students will do their best job to present this special knowledge. I will be helping them. Drigdasa is the dasa that shows events in spiritual life and spiritual progress. In my study of " Brihat Paaraasara Horaa Saastram " , I found that Drigdasa taught to me by Sanjay ji differs from what Parasara taught and that what Parasara taught works better. When I asked Sanjay ji how confident he was of the calculation details he taught, he said his teachings could have been wrong. He said he was taught all those things in a small amount of time and he took brief notes and there might have been errors. My well-considered view is that what Parasara taught is correct and what we at SJC have so far taught is erroneous. This conference will be the first occasion that this version of Drigdasa will be taught publicly. I will soon release a newer revision of " Jagannatha Hora " software that can calculate Parasara's version of Drigdasa. Guest guest
Hare Rama Krishna A Course on Jaimini Sutras Adhyaya 1 The First Adhyaya of the four year Course on Jaimini Sutras by Sanjay Rath was completed successfully from 28th June to 13th July, 2007 at Kasaar Devi, near Almora, India. In January 2007, 27 participants were selected from the applicants who have now embarked on this four year learning experience. These 27 participants will in turn teach other students. The participants went through six months of preparatory lessons prior to attending this course in June in the pristine surrounds of the Himalayas. A typical day started before dawn with classes commencing at 8 a.m. and ended with the chanting of the Måtyunjaya mantra at the end of class. The participants had to simultaneously focus on their spiritual practices, without which it is impossible to learn the Sutras. A book, entitled A Course on Jaimini Maha Rishi’s Upadesha Sutras has been published for the course, containing some of the lessons of the course.
