Dear all,

I wonder what all this confusion is about? Open source is a well

known software development process, please. The source should be

made open to everyone, but contributions to *SJC*'s *OFFICIALLY

STAMPED VERSION* should be done based on the meritocracy principle

as Apache does (e.g. by setting up a contributors forum to find out

the " good guys " on a continual and FAIR basis). It works really

well. Please read:

http://www.apache.org/foundation/how-it-works.html#meritocracy

However, make no mistake, the source is OPEN to EVERYONE, and this

is a big deal. So even an unknown like me should be able to download

the source and make changes to it if I want to try out my own

ashtakavarga scheme (for e.g.), but as long as SJC doesnt allow me

to contribute back until I show merit, SJC's OFFICIALLY released

software doesnt have to be buggy with contributions from unknowns.

SJC's own branded version will always be good, yet everyone in the

world will get to play around with their own source downloads.

Hope this is clear. No one needs to dream up a new software

development process. This is a well known process, perfected over

several years with much much larger softwares than JHora. Simply

search a bit on the web and adopt the process you find best..

Thanks

Sundeep
