Must a gemstone only be energized with a Graha mantra?

Dear Vistiji and others,

 

From listening to some of Vistiji's lectures and other sources, it

appears to me that since a gemstone is a tan-trik solution i.e. it

controls only the body, it must be energized using the appropriate

Graha mantra.

 

But a mantra is a man-tra after all, isnt it, i.e. controlling the

mind? So if a graha mantra can be used to energize a gemstone, then

why cant a deeper more spiritual mantra infuse the gemstone with its

energy?
