Guest guest
|| Jaya Jagannath || Dear Zoran, It is always nice to get into such discussions. I do remember the old discussions with Guruji and the old students and I miss them too :-). Jyotish is such as subject which is never ending. It helps us keep exploring the unrevealed aspects of our existence and our relation with the supreme consciousness and hence it is always enjoyable. 3rd house does represent movement and hence it is the house of communication and naturally ruled by Mercury and has Karaka as Mars and it is the 1st house of the four upachayas representing growth. Growth can only happen with movement. Something which is stable cannot grow. So I do agree with what you say. 3rd house is also the house where all the desires originate as it is first house among the houses of the kama trikona and 11th is the house where all the desires are fulfilled and the objectives are achieved and that is why the next house of 11th is 12th, the house of liberation. When all desires are relinquished, then only one can attain liberation (from what? .. Desires). So more effort for growth means that the bondage with the material world is getting even stronger until all the desires are relinquished and we attain moksha as Gautama Buddha said. Hence the 11th house is also called the house of Hara. Without Hara (loss of all desires), liberation (12th house) cannot follow. You mentioned a nice point about the sign in the 3rd house. So a Piscean native will desire for food and family. Thats quite logical. This gives an idea of various kinds of desires natives of various lagna would be having. I am sure it will be considerably modified by the planets placed there in. As I understand 3rd house is the house of supreme knowledge (7th - Shiva) from the 9th house and hence has to be the house of Guru-upadesha. You explanation adds yet another perspective. Guest guest
Satyam Bruyat Priyam Bruyat Dear Zoran, Thank you for explaining the concept well. Now the question is whether there is manifestation of aggression in case of sports personalities like Bobby and Ali? Should they be having malifics in 3/6 from AL? I am not sure if just the talent (no aggression) is good enough to win in the kind of competitive environment that we have in sports today. Best Regards Ramesh sohamsa [sohamsa ] On Behalf Of Zr Monday, January 21, 2008 9:13 PM sohamsa [sUSPECTED SPAM] RE: Re: Bobby Fischer, Mr. Mars, is dead Om Namah Shivaya, Dear Sarajit, Nice to talk to you after a long time. It makes me feel younger (remember the days Many years back when we used to discuss jyotish daily on the lists with Guruji) Any way Here are some points. The outer manifestation of " bravery: " should be seen then from Arudha Lagna. 3rd bhava is movement towards our goal which reflects in the 11th houses of hopes and realization. This house shows what we have to conquer. For example Meena Lagna has taurus in 3rd house, which Rules food and family. So once they conquer such desires, they become the rishi (Meena is the signs Of rishis), So the 3rd house shows the movement, and desires of movement (7th from 3rd) leads to The 9th house of Guru, that is the other meaning of the word parakrama you stated with long " a " That is One of the reasons that 3rd house rules guru upadesha. I think you understand this concept, otherwise I cannot go more right now, since it will take a few pages...
