Guest guest
Dear Jyotishas, Just yesterday I heard on the radio that there was an unusually significant increase in the number of fights at nightclubs in San Jose on Sunday the 15th. The same report also noted that Friday nights and Saturday nights is generally when they see more fights because more people visit clubs then, so this was unusual both for the day of the week and in the number of fights that happened (much more than even Friday nights). Notice that Mars and Ketu reached exact conjunction on Monday. Also Sept 11, 2001 also had Mars and Ketu close to being conjunct. My question is: Doesnt Ketu suppress, or push inward, the qualities of the planet it conjuncts? E.g. Ketu with Venus pushes desires inwards, and Saturn focusses them to produce Tapaswi yoga, no? Is this different for Mars? If not, why do we see more violence when Ketu and Mars are conjunct - shouldnt we see less? Thanks, Sundeep
Guest guest
Respected guruji and readers, If lagna lord, MARS conjoins KETU in 11th house then what would it mean pertaining to elder siblings. -Afor--- On Tue, 6/17/08, vedicastrostudent <vedicastrostudent wrote: vedicastrostudent <vedicastrostudent Question on symbolism of Ketusohamsa Date: Tuesday, June 17, 2008, 12:23 PM Dear Jyotishas,Just yesterday I heard on the radio that there was an unusually significant increase in the number of fights at nightclubs in San Jose on Sunday the 15th. Guest guest
Dear Sundeepji, I would like to share something that happened recently to me. Nothing very dramatic actually. But before I mention that I have also been wondering if we the folks who think about Jyotish almost attract events based on our understanding ( even if flawed ) of transits. My view is that we think about something very strongly those energies and events start actually happening. Don't know the answer to that, but wanted to put it out there. Anyway, so I was on this flight this past Tuesday evening around 5.00 pm when after 30 mts the crew detected some smoke and the plane was landed at the nearest airport. It was Mars-Ketu conjunction, impending full moon, day itself ruled by Mars. These also exactly conjuncted my natal moon around 27 degrees in Cancer. The fire crew came in immediately and couldn't find anything serious. Apparently something had heated up a lot. Usually I don't pay attention but that day there were many birds flying before the flight and I got a strange vibe. As there was nothing else to do on the flight itself I was doing some strong Hanuman mantras right around the time the captain informed of the situation. All this caused an eventual delay of about 5 hours but everyone was safe. Going back to my earlier point about attracting events through our thoughts: not too far back I enjoyed flying, racing etc. ( mars-aries rasi). But lately I have developed a serious fear of it. ( Saturn-ketu in lagna if that explains anything). I knew before hand about this transit. Couldn't this have happened to any other thousands of flights, why just that one? What's the role of my own fearful thoughts even before I had left the house? Thanks Shiv
Guest guest
Sundeepji That's a good question. I have been wondering about the same. Logically, Mars conjunct Rahu should be more violent, since Rahu would expand the martian traits. I think Mars Yuti Ketu results in some passive aggressive tendencies. This might give some insights. http://barbarapijan.com/bpa/Topics/Ketu_yuti_other_graha.htm As Barbara says there, this combo behaves like a fallen Mars. A strong Mars would be disciplined not to get ngry without reason, weak mars would get angry at the drop of a hat. Just my random uninformed thoughts. Wish there was more discussion on this here though. Guest guest
Hare Rama Krishna Dear Shiv, Yes, Mars is exalted in Saturn's sign. Rahu is co-lord of Aquarious, and Ketu with Scorpio for added thoughts. Mars can be violence, energy in various forms, spears, cuts, etc Mars bad energy gives anxiety, frustrations fears, Rahu can give obsessions, or excessive fears confusions. Rahu is associated with digging, poisons, addictions, thieves, magicians, trickery.Extreme drive, motivation.Loosing through theft ,being deceived, explosions. Ketu is headless he can't see,so makes mistakes, has accidents, also acts without thinking, makes IMPULSIVE actions when aspected of associated with mars.,secretive, spies, extremists, compulsions, renouncing, walking away from things, loosing them all of a sudden, etcLook at charts of dare devils. Mars with Rahu is more diabolical and is like thought out revenge, plotting, back stabbing, etc. Both Ketu and Rahu can give unexpected or hidden actions, unplanned events. Illness associated with Rahu and ketu can give undiagnosed illness, tumors chemotherapy, radiation therapy, Mars, Ketu associated with 5Th ,abortions etc. Death of child or serious sickness is Mars Rahu, without help from benefics etc. Nodes in kendras give sarpa yogas, with Saturn also pisacha yoga(haunted by spirits), check up on details for each. Debilitated Mars in general the native has problems to express or communicate anger, frustrations, and such.. so gets into situations with others because of this, and can be taken advantage of.etc with regards Lakshmi Shiv <theblisswithin wrote: SundeepjiThat's a good question.
