Dear Punit ji,

Had been to the Tutorials once more and enjoyed the simple way of instructing which is very easy to follow.

The following link -

http://logy.astrosage.com/Home/tutorial/chapter-2

which shows the Sample horoscope. Can You please specify what ayanamsha has been used here ?

And I wish it had been mentioned that its an Intercepted Horoscope for the new comers who may not be aware of this, may get zapped trying to make out where did two signs get lost ? HaHa.

regards,

Bhaskar.

Dear Bhaskar ji,

It is it encouraging to know that you liked it. There are total 15 chapters planned and only one chapter is finished yet, so there is a long way to go. As always, I am looking for the support from all direction because without that, it is not easy to achieve that objective.

Anyways, coming back to your question, the chart uses KP (New) ayanamsa and has been caclulated using www.MyKundali.com. For the convenience of the readers, I have also added hyperlink to the chart in the tutorial so that they will straight away get the deatiled chart at www.astrosage.com/chart.asp?user=kptutorial

Appreciate your suggestion on the intercepted sign. I have added a note for the same in the tutorial.

Thanks & Regards,Punit Pandey

Dear Punit ji,

Thanks for the reply. But I am confused. The ayanamsha shown in your link is

allright, but the Ascendant degrees are different.. I get Aries 1.28 in my

software whereas in your example theres a difference of 6 minutes. Wheres the

mistake ? Is the mistake in my software ? Please confirm.

I am in jaipur right now and do not have the Rapheals Ephemeris or the Table of

Houses or else would have calculated manually.

regards/Bhaskar.

Dear Bhaskar ji,

Something seems incorrect somewhere. JHora gives Aries 1-24-54 after adjusting for KP (New) ayamasa. Aries 1-28 seems far to me.

What is the latitude of Agra you are using for calculation? As the hyperlink suggests (http://www.astrosage.com/chart.asp?user=kptutorial), I have used following values -

Latitude   27 : 9 : N Longitude   78 : 0 : E

Dear Members, can anybody confirm what is the ascendant degrees you are getting for the following input -

January 13th, 2009

Time: 12:00 Noon

Place: Agra

Latitude   27 : 9 : N Longitude   78 : 0 : E Thanks & Regards,Punit Pandey

Dear Bhaskar ji,

The difference is not of 4 degree but 4 minutes. Generally some difference can be expected in software that use different calculation. Both JHora and KPStarOne use swiss ephemeris and hence giving almost identical results.

Another reason for the difference you are getting is change in latitude and longitude. The latitude and longitude that you are using is different than mine and collectively it is making difference of 2 minutes. It clubbed with ayanamsa and difference in calculation by the used software resulted in difference of around 4 minutes.

Thanks & Regards,Punit Pandey

Dear Punti ji,

yes sorry, not degrees, but minutes - A typo error.

But still a good difference which can at times change sublords. I was just

trying to bring home a important point that even minor difference in RAMC could

create major differences in statistics at the 10th Cusp and the Asc. degrees.

regards/Bhaskar.

Check/compare the sidereal time calculation there must be some difference. Basically the Ascendant calculation is the function of Latitude, obliquity & sidereal time (function of local longitude)

GOOD LUCK!

J.Hora

Aynamsha 23.53.07

78.01E 27.11N

Asc. Aries 01.27.07

In Example Charti

Ayanamsha 23.53.34

78.00E 27.09N

Asc. Aries 01.23.55

Now what among the 3 Factors,

Latitude,Longitude and the Ayanamsha

can bring about such a difference of

about 4 degrees in the Ascendantscalculated by both softwares ?

Dear Friends,

In a borderline case, one second difference can change the sub position. But any

commonly used SW generally gives the same up to sub lord for KP analysis, except

in borderline cases.

Dear Friends,

To be comparable, if KPNA 23-53-38 of J Deepika is adjusted to KPNA 23-53-34, it

gives Asc Aries 1-24-46, then for KPNA 23-53-34,

Dear Punit ji, Tinwin ji and friends,

It seems that you were using some other version of J.Hora, and I was using some

other. And all have different values. Now I have downloaded the 7.33 Version. I

get the KP ayanamsha value for today (Dec 15th 2009) as 23.53.58.30

Now what corrections must be made in this to arrive at the New KP Ayanamsha ?

J.Hora has a setting where one can add or substract the values to bring it to

the desired one.

Please suggest above .

Apart from this I have read the Tutorial on ayanamsha which is very well written

by Shri Tinwinji and educative enough for one who can understand the same.

But for simple beginners in astrology it would be worthwhile if the values to be

changed as per Lahiris, and KP is suggested.

Also the formula is to get the right values as per New KP Ayanamsa is given, but

would become more meaningful if 2-3 examples are given alongwith, for Indian

Births.

If the suggestion is worthwhile and can be incorporated, then kindly do the same

so that the article can become meaningful for any level of reader.

warm regards,

Bhaskar.

Dear Kalyan ji,

Thanks for the practical inputs which are required, and which you have kindly given.

About J.Hora , I am aware that it is made for a vedic traditional Astrologer, but am also aware that any good KP Astrologer can make use of it without spending more than 5 minutes extra, had he used any specific KP Software. we must always be ready to accept the good positive points of any endevaour, and not negate it without reason. I have already explained in my previous mails, that all it takes is just a change of two settongs to get the Placidus House division and the Placidus Bhava placement of the planets. the significators chart can be prepared in not more than 2 minutes. is that asking for much ? And the students must also know how to prepare the Significators chart manually.

In any case I am not recommending this for those who have Online access for our own software which Shri Punitji has so generously allowed us to access on his websites. This is for those who do not have Online access 24 hours, who can download J.hora and make charts whenever they do not even have Online access. Should we not allow them this knowledge that this can be done, instead of being rigid in our claims that it does not support KP Charts and totally negating its use, without any efforts by anyone to even try making a KP Chart through same ?

Thanks for the inputs you have provided for necessary additions in J.hora.My Query was put for general good of all members desiring to make use of J.Hora.

regards,

Bhaskar.

Dear Friend,Jhora is not a SW, allotted for KP.Although there is some description of KP,it is only for the Vedic use, as Sri Jagannath Center is propergating only Vedic system, Jayamini. But to make you happy, I'll give you the way of getting NKPA from Jhora. Follow these pl.Open Jhora.Click PreferencesSelect AyanamsaIn the Ayanamsa Window- Select "Krishnamoorthy(KP)"Tick the box "Apply the correct..........................."Select AddEnter the amount as ..Deg.0 Min. 0 Sec. 21.4308click OK.Close the SW and reopenedToday's correct NKPA is 23-54-19 as per MyKundali New KP Ayanamsa Calculator. In Jhora you may get 23-54-19.77RegadsKalyan

Dear Punit ji, Tinwin ji and friends,It seems that you were using some other version of J.Hora, and I was using some other. And all have different values. Now I have downloaded the 7.33 Version. I get the KP ayanamsha value for today (Dec 15th 2009) as 23.53.58.30Now what corrections must be made in this to arrive at the New KP Ayanamsha ? J.Hora has a setting where one can add or substract the values to bring it to the desired one. Please suggest above .Apart from this I have read the Tutorial on ayanamsha which is very well written by Shri Tinwinji and educative enough for one who can understand the same. But for simple beginners in astrology it would be worthwhile if the values to be changed as per Lahiris, and KP is suggested. Also the formula is to get the right values as per New KP Ayanamsa is given, but would become more meaningful if 2-3 examples are given alongwith, for Indian Births. If

the suggestion is worthwhile and can be incorporated, then kindly do the same so that the article can become meaningful for any level of reader. warm regards,Bhaskar. @gro ups.com, "TW" <tw853 wrote:>> Dear Friends,> To be comparable, if KPNA 23-53-38 of J Deepika is adjusted to KPNA 23-53-34, it gives Asc Aries 1-24-46, then for KPNA 23-53-34, > > Ar 1-23-55 (http://www.astrosag e.com/chart. asp?user= kptutorial)> > Ar 1-24-45.78 (J Hora 7.33)> > Ar 1-24-46 (KP StarOne 6.6)> . Dear Friends,

To be comparable, if KPNA 23-53-38 of J Deepika is adjusted to KPNA 23-53-34, it

gives Asc Aries 1-24-46, then for KPNA 23-53-34,

It is meant to enter KPNA into J Hora 7,33 directly by adding to zero " Tropical

(sayana) " as follows:

In the Ayanamsa Window of J Hora 7.33,

Select " Tropical (sayana) "

Tick the box " Apply the correct.. "

Select " Add "

Enter " KPNA " calculated from satrosage.com or available table

Then click " OK "

Dear Punit ji and other members,

In the software so generously allowed by your goodself for public accessibility,

when we make the Horary Charts, do we have the facility of rotating the chart

from the house we require , in such a manner so that the significators Table

changes alongwith the rotation?

Do we have this facility in any other KP Softwares available for Paid or Free

Versions ?

I mean suppose Father is asking for his son and gives a Horary Number, in that

case the 5th house will be treated as ascendant, so can we rotate the chart to

make the 5th house , as the first house and simultaneously will the software

make changes in the significator Table accordingly ?

regards,

Bhaskar.
