Teenager quits school in Rahu dasa

Here is an interesting case of a teenager who stopped going to school

and stays home all day. He has been causing a lot of pain and

headache for his parents ever since he started the Rahu dasa in

8/08. Currently he is running Rahu/Jupiter, with Rahu in the 12th

house (retirement?) of D-24 and Jupiter is 8th from it (sudden break,

ending).

 

In rasi chart, Moon is with Saturn, who also aspects the 4th

(education), 9th (higher education), and lagna. Saturn is in own

sign Capricorn but retrograde, as is 4th lord Venus and karaka of

education, Mercury. The saving grace is in D-9, 4th and 9th lord

Venus is in own sign Taurus, and is with 7th lord Sun, forming a

rajayoga. Moon is also exalted in the 4th in D-9.

 

Current transits are also unfavorable – Saturn in 2nd from lagna

(another education house) and aspects the 4th house. From Moon,

Saturn is in the 8th. Bhukti lord Jupiter is in the 6th from lagna,

and 12th from Moon. Rahu is in the 7th from lagna and is on natal

Moon. Tajaka for 2007 is also not favorable, with Muntha in the 4th

and 5 malefics, Saturn, Rahu/Ketu, Mars, and Sun, afflicting the

lagna. 2008's tajaka looks a lot better.

 

No doubt the above observation is rudimentary. Perhaps the gurus

might care to comment on why this boy is behaving strangely and when

will there be relief? His birth details are below:

Hare Rama Krishna Dear Leo, This boy is suffering too much. Parents should consider it as an emergency and take him to a good counselor soon!. Saturn is 7th and 8th lord conjoined Moon who is AK and the LL. Saturn is transiting in 2nd from lagna and in the 8th from Moon. I am very worried about this young boy, Would he chant mantras, would he go to a temple? Dear Lakshmi,

 

Thank you for your reply. It is indeed a dire situation with the

boy, Max. His parents (both are well-educated professionals) are

taking turns to stay home to watch over him, and they are at their

wits end concerning their only child. The mother is so distraught

that she even talked about quitting her job, or committing suicide!

 

I suggested that they send Max to some 3rd world countries to

volunteer, and observe how difficult life is there comparing to his

(sort of an Angelina Jolie awakening). But he is obviously suffering

from bad dasas and transits. Do you know of a good counselor whom

they can visit? Did you mean seeking counsel from a Jyotish Guru who

can analyze his chart and recommend remedies?

Hare Rama Krishna Dear Leo, The whole family needs some immediate help from either a priest or a psychological/medical professional.Not just once a week starting in 3 weeks. The are making each other worse. MIght even be good for them to take him to an emergency check in facility ASAP and get him under a suicide watch, rather then strain themselves 24 hour a day, Professional people need to help this boy.Special danger for all , is in the next month-2 months. Does he take any kind of drugs, or alcohol? Dear Lakshmi,

 

The mom suspects the boy smokes marijuana but is not sure if he is

suicidal. I think she is planning to take Max to the psychiatrist

for evaluation, as you suggested. I don't have the mom's birth

details. What causes you to see special danger for all in the next

month or two? Saturn transiting four major planets, including the

Sun (karaka of self & career, school in this case), Mercury (karaka

of education), Venus (4th lord), and Jupiter for 2.5 years must be

tough.

 

On another note related to eclipse that is being discussed, I will be

buying a house on August 1, on the eclipse day!!! What problems will

there be, if any, on the house or purchase? I was hoping to close

the deal last Friday but there have been many delays by the escrow

company and bank. But perhaps the delay is inevitable because Venus

will enter a favorable tara, Magha on 8/1, as I am running Venus

dasa. Furthermore, Magna is in the Stambha of my kota chakra.

Hare Rama Krishna Dear Leo, I wasnt referring to danger to whole family, except that when something terrible is happening with one member of a family it tends to effect everyone. The Moon is in a terrible curse,by his 2 worst enemies ,Saturn and Rahu, made more significant by the fact that Moon is a benefic and also the AK.And of course the house that Moon lords is the lagna itself( the physical body) Rahu and Ketu are badly placed in fact the dual signs create a bad situation, as Mars is part of the rashi dristi effect. If we look at this chart from the Chandra lagna another view of the intensity of this chart becomes apparent. Sun is combusting these planets and their houses get burned.The are all also under the influence of Rahu, with argala of Mars. Aside from that, It isnt good when Jupiter is in a 6/8 relationship with

the Moon. Moon is karaka for early childhood and youth. and Saturn is pretty close to the Moon, so im sure he has been struggling for sometime. But then we add the other planets and lords who are also in the same situation. Then we have 3 retro grade planets in a fixed sign. I do not know what the best remedy would be,perhaps there is something that I am missing. WOuld the family do any mantras anyway? Dear Lakshmi,

 

Thanks for the analysis. The Moon is no doubt under stress in the

rasi chart but I wonder if its following attributes might offset some

of its misfortunes?

 

1. Moon is bright and has high paksha bala.

2. Ascendant lord is always a benefic.

3. Moon has strong shadbala and ishta phala.

4. Moon is well-placed in 10th from AL.

5. Moon forms a rajayoga and several raja sambandhas with Saturn.

6. Moon is exalted and well-placed in an angle (4th, its natural

house) with yogakaraka Venus in D-9.

7. Moon's age is young and activity is glowing.

8. Moon is occupying an angle with high bhava bala.

9. Moon receives rasi dristi from 3 benefics, Jupiter, Venus,

and Mercury.

 

The family is Christian and does not believe in practices such as

mantras. Are having 3 retrograde planets necessarily bad? Some say

that planet's retrogression adds strength to it. An example is

Chelsea Clinton, who has 4 retrograde planets and she has done

remarkably well in every aspect.

Hare Rama Krishna Dear Leo, Are you in San Jose are by chance? If so, perhaps we can get together with some others and talk astrology. I used to meet with a group at the starbucks in E. Palo ALto for awhile. We had a nice group and we would discuss charts. I still come down periodically and am sure we can round up a few people to meet it you want. Moon is karaka for many things, our sustenance , mother etc .(You mentioned that the parents are doing well.) Saturn may be in its own sign but it is retrograde.I was wondering as the PAKA lagna, Moon, LL with 7/8 lord Saturn creates. I just think this boy can get lost in some dark place in his psyche. Also , yes Moon, is a benefic and also the Lagna lord, so HE can benefit a house or other planets he is conjoined or aspecting. BUT, what influence is the Moon

itself under?. Is he trapped with saturn and in saturns house? Suicides are most common in the highest intelligence group. Also the rich and the wealthy are not immune from suffering. The hopeful part for me is the navamsa . The question is- the boy may have fortune, but does he have peace and happiness? Is his mind clouded by fears, disappointments and feeling suppressed, and perhaps under the influence of drugs, and or alcohol. When you are young you can not see into the future, when you are suffering you feel like " now is forever". Also look at the Shasti amsa like trimsamsa. D-30. Did you look at the 3rd and 8th from AL? Dear Lakshmi,

 

I would love to get together with you and others to talk astrology if

you don't mind discussing it with a novice. I am totally convinced

that Jyotish is a magnificent science and accurate predictive tool if

one knows it well. Without studying with a guru, I acquired all of

my Jyotish knowledge through reading books, online articles and

forums such as this one. As such, though I have read more than 30

books (including the classic BPHS) I still feel like groping in the

dark sometimes as there are many contradictory theories. Anyhow, my

favorite authors include Sanjay Rath, Sumeet Chugh, Prash Trivedi, C.

S. Patel, Komilla Sutton, Sat Siri Khalsa, Chakrapani Ullal, K. N.

Rao, J.N. Bhasin, and B. V. Raman (but I am skeptical about his

ayanamsa). I am located in the Santa Clara/Sunnyvale/Cupertino area

and there are quite a few nice places where we can hang out. But I

will be busy moving/remodeling in the next few weeks.

 

You mentioned that the next month or two will be critical for the boy

and I wonder if having Jupiter in the Durgantara of his Kota Chakra

until 11/22/08 will offer him some protection. Also, his 2008 tajaka

shows Muntha in the 2nd house with Jupiter and Lagnesh Mars in the

11th. Perhaps his luck will be better after his 2008 birthday?

Hare Rama Krishna Dear Leo, In all honesty I have gotten too involved(because im worried for him) and I feel my judegment is now compromised.(I have Sat/Moon conjunct - and am now projecting my own PTS if you want to call if that) onto the situation. My AK is Saturn, the boys is Moon. Have you read Sanjays paper on AK? It discribes results and lessons of each type of AK. If not write me privately and I can send to you. So I decline to comment further , other than what I have said earlier. Im not expert as others are, so perhaps they would care to give commentary. It is hard when native and family will not, can not do remedials, it is more like feeling helpless on the sidelines, with only prayers to offer. Many teenagers go through a dark period. Most people if given a friend , some hope, someone to talk to are able to crawl through the bad periods. Hopefully

the parents can get him to a therapist and this will help him through, too bad in Kali -Yuga religion is on the back burner, at least in India most people have a level of faith and believe in turning to the Supreme Lord for guidance and most souls have a level of understanding of karma. Things like loss, pain, suffering is much easier to deal with if you understand where /why it is happening.
