Guest guest
Dear All, Please can anyone advise the best available version of Shiva Purana/Mahapurana text (book), as most which circulate have parts missing like upadesa given by Shukracharya to Dadhichi. Many thanx SS
Guest guest
Hare Rama Krishna Dear SS, I don’t use either Hindi or English. But many use Parimal publication’s translations in English and I think another English translation is available in Benares. That was superior. Why don’t you search around with some top Indological publishers, like Motilal and Chaukhamba? Guest guest
Dear Jitu, The 'versions' that i have come across are on the internet itself, one of them being from Maharshi's website (a scanned copy). The latter one has verses in Sanskrit and a Hindi translation of the same. However, the other ones are English Translations only - sans the Sanskrit verses, among which are chapters related to resurrection of Daksha, King Kshuva and Dadhichi, Shukracharya healing Dadhichi etc. that are missing in the version from Maharshi's website - so I wish to enquire from the learned members here as to any particular version that may be complete so that i can buy the text books for myself (having Sanskrit verses with Eng/Hindi translation). Best Regards, SS sohamsa , " Jitendra Trivedi " <trivedijv wrote: > > Dear Sadhak, > > Hari Om Harr, > > Since you have gone through quite a few edition of Shiv MahaPuran, kindly > share the publishers/authors which you have read and are incomplete.
